• Paradise Cave - (OPTIONAL) Paradise Cave, the longest dry cave in Asia, is surrounded by forested karst peaks and stretches for 31 km, though most visitors explore only the first kilometre. The scale is awe-inspiring, with wooden staircases descending into a cathedral-like space filled with vast, alien-looking stalagmites and stalactites. Arriving early is recommended to avoid crowds, as tour guides often lead groups with megaphones during peak times (early afternoon). From the buggy drop-off, there is an additional 600m-plus climb to the cave entrance. Exploring deeper into the cave beyond the barrier at the end may reveal the eyeless cave fish that are part of its ecosystem. If you wish to participate in this activity, the tour guide will assist in purchasing the ticket, which costs 270,000 VND or 11 USD per person.
• Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park - At 12:30, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Phong Nha village.
• Phong Nha Caves - (OPTIONAL) Discover the impressive Phong Nha cave by taking a 25-minute boat cruise on the Son River. During the journey, enjoy views of green fields, local people, houses, and limestone formations along the river. This cave is renowned for its rock formations, which have been named “Lion,” “Fairy Caves,” “Royal Court,” and “Buddha.” As boats approach the caves, they queue up, entering one or two at a time. Engines are turned off, and operators use long poles to guide them slowly and methodically through the murky water. Once inside, the immense cavern opens up, with giant stalactite chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. The grandeur of the stone cathedral leaves everyone in silent awe. If you wish to participate in this activity, the tour guide will assist in purchasing the ticket, which costs 170,000 VND or 7 USD per person.
• Dong Hoi - At 16:00, return to the vehicle to depart Phong Nha. The group will head back to Dong Hoi for drop-off at hotels or designated locations. Drop-off is expected around 17:30, marking the end of the trip.
