- Po Nagar Cham Towers - Constructed between the 7th and 12th centuries by the Cham during their prosperous era, these towers have stood for over a millennium thanks to their unique structures and bricks. The mystery of their construction remains unsolved by many scientists today.
- Nha Tho Nui - This architectural marvel is a must-see for tourists. From the outside, the church’s gray hue and design resemble ancient Roman palaces and castles. In addition to its Gothic architecture with French influences, the mountain church boasts a valuable brass bell crafted by the renowned French Carillon Bourdon.
- Long Son Pagoda - Also known as “Chua Phat Trang” or “Long Son Co Tu,” this is the largest pagoda in Nha Trang city. Built in 1886 and renovated multiple times, Long Son features unique statues on Trai Thuy hill, including a 1.6-meter-high, 700kg bronze Buddha statue in the main hall, a 17-meter-long nirvana Buddha statue, and a 31-meter-high Buddha Shrine statue.
- National Oceanographic Museum of Vietnam - Established by the French in 1923, the Nha Trang Institute of Oceanography is home to Vietnam’s most diverse marine life. The Museum of Oceanography, an integral part of the Institute, has a rich history spanning nearly a century. Located in a grand French-colonial building in southern Nha Trang, the museum houses around 60,000 jars of preserved marine specimens, stuffed birds, sea mammals, and displays of local boats and fishing artifacts. It also features tanks with reef fish and sharks, though the rescued seals and marine turtles are kept in small enclosures.
- Thap Tram Huong - Named after the valuable agarwood found in Nha Trang, Tram Huong Tower is situated on the beach and comprises three floors adorned with vivid sculptures of sea waves, sails, petals, and a stylized core.
- Dam Market - Dam Market (Cho Dam) is the largest and most popular market in the area. With three floors of stalls and boutique shops, it offers an overwhelming yet essential experience. The market is a mix of tourist souvenirs and local goods, including clothing, shoes, bags, art, designer replicas, electronics, dried and packaged foods, and food stalls. The dried seafood section is particularly noteworthy, featuring Nha Trang’s famous local specialties like dried shrimp, squid, and cuttlefish.
As a popular tourist destination, prices may be slightly inflated, so be prepared to bargain. However, it’s important not to haggle excessively, as a small amount of money can mean a lot to the locals. For a more authentic experience and to avoid crowds, visit early in the morning when locals shop and the weather is cooler.
