Niagara Falls State Park - Enjoy a relaxing journey in an air-conditioned SUV or van, taking in the picturesque scenery of upstate New York (approximately 7 hours each way, with several rest stops) as you travel north. Upon reaching your destination, immerse yourself in the adventure, beauty, and natural splendor of Niagara Falls. During your visit, discover the fascinating history of these powerful waters and take in breathtaking views of the falls from various vantage points (weather permitting). You’ll have the chance to enjoy lunch independently, shop for souvenirs, and explore the stunning Niagara Falls State Park.
Niagara Falls Observation Tower - Take in the magnificent views of the falls and enjoy the awe-inspiring scenery from the observation tower. Niagara Falls is not just one waterfall, but three. The Niagara River flows from Lake Erie and is divided by Goat Island. Part of it flows to the horseshoe-shaped Canadian Falls (known as Horseshoe Falls), while the rest flows to the American Falls. At the American Falls, the river is further split by a small island, Luna Island, creating the third, smaller waterfall known as Bridal Veil Falls.
Prospect Point - This is the prime viewing area for the American Falls and Rapids, featuring nightly illumination and seasonal fireworks. It is also conveniently located near the Observation Tower and the Maid of the Mist.
Luna Island - This small island between the American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls offers an awe-inspiring view of both falls.
Bridal Veil Falls - The Bridal Veil is the smallest of the three waterfalls collectively known as the great Niagara Falls. Located on the US side, it is right next to the American Falls, separated by Luna Island. Goat Island on the Canadian side separates it from Horseshoe Falls.
The waterfall resembles a ‘Bridal Veil,’ hence the name Bridal Veil Falls. It is also known as Luna Falls and Iris Falls. The height of Bridal Veil Falls is 181 ft. Although it is smaller compared to its two counterparts, it has its own unique features.
Goat Island - Goat Island (formerly Iris Island) is a small island in the Niagara River, situated between the Bridal Veil Falls and the Horseshoe Falls. It is located at the southwest corner of the City of Niagara Falls (and Niagara County), New York, in the United States, and is part of Niagara Falls State Park.
Goat Island has no residents but is a popular destination for tourists visiting the falls on the U.S. side. It offers several viewing points, including Terrapin Point. Goat Island is connected to the U.S. mainland by two bridges that accommodate foot, car, and trackless train traffic, and to the smaller Luna Island (adjacent to the American Falls) by a pedestrian bridge. The island is largely wooded and features numerous foot trails.
Terrapin Point - Terrapin Point (formerly Terrapin Rocks) is an observation area located in Niagara Falls, New York, at the western tip of Goat Island, next to the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. It is one of two major observation areas overlooking the falls and lower Niagara Gorge on the New York side, the other being Prospect Point further downriver.
Horseshoe Falls - Horseshoe Falls is considered the most impressive of the three falls, and Terrapin Point offers stunning views of them.
Over the Falls Tours - Niagara Falls Night Illumination Tour. Niagara Falls is spectacular by day, but it becomes vibrant and colorful at night when illuminated. Enjoy a tour of the illumination of American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and Horseshoe Falls after sunset. Your guide will share fascinating history about the falls as they take you to the best lookout points, including Luna Island.
