Absolutely Incredible - Mago took us on what became a highlight of our honeymoon. He was extremely friendly; we wished we had time to get drinks with him after the tour. His gems of knowledge pertaining to medieval architecture and various eras of art history that he would weave into the tour went above and beyond what we expected; and, likely, well beyond what you would get in a more general tour by a non-certified tour guide and/or in larger groups.
He described the process of becoming a certified tour guide, and based on his description, he essentially has a PhD in history. In a nut shell, that’s what you’re getting with this experience: a man with a PhD in history taking you on a tour that is in line with his personal historical interests.
Setting aside his intellectual strengths, It’s clear he’s loved in his community. When we went to Eze, he was able to sneak us into an exclusive resort (thanks to his connections) that had an incredible view back at Nice; and from there, he took us to his favorite bakery in town. Every local we encountered with him throughout the tour greeted him with a huge smile.
He takes the experience he knows he’s providing seriously, and it’s obvious he understands how important the tour is to his guests. He was constantly stopping us to take the best pictures, and demonstrated he’s put in the extra-curricular effort to develop his photography knowledge/skills beyond a simple lay understanding. All in the interest of preserving the memories for his guests as best as possible.
In St Paul, his art history knowledge shined through. From discussing the shift in the Catholic Church which gave way to the Baroque style, to the history of a hotel/restaurant where many originals from seminal artists who stayed and worked there hang, to Picaso’s inspiration for Cubism; he was easily the most impressive and personable tour guide we enjoyed throughout our two weeks in France and Italy.

Incredible journey with Mago - This was an incredible private tour through some of the most beautiful places of France. Mago was absolutely incredible with his knowledge of history and showed us incredible gems of the country. My mom and I had an incredible time with Mago and I highly recommend him!!

Exceptional tour and guide. A must do. - We were blessed with a half day tour with Mago. The destinations exceeded already high expectations and Mago’s deep insights and sense of humour elevated the experience to a bucket list level. Mago’s English was perfect. We quite enjoyed the French language lessons he weaved into our day. Mago took special care to cater to our interests including refreshing drinks in a most scenic location in Eze and specialty shops throughout the tour. His depth of knowledge of history, art, architecture and local history was first rate. He shared all generously. It was beautiful, relaxing and most of all fun and informative. I wished our day did not end. Highly recommended!

When in Nice France, use Unique Tours Riviera!!! - Unique Tours Riviera puts on an incredible tour. Mago, our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about every place that we visited. This was a 5 hour tour of 3 or 4 places. Eze and Saint Paul de Vance were the highlights for us, but every stop had its own special beauty!
Not only was Mago knowledgeable, he really made the experience very personal. Very professional in every way!
He also went out of his way to help me with an issue I had in obtaining our key to the apartment we rented while in Nice. We ended up having to load our luggage into his vehicle for the tour, then at the end of the tour he took us to go pick up the key then back to our apartment where he stayed until he was sure we were able to get in. He was a lifesaver for us.

Fabulous tour that changes your perspective - We had an absolutely fantastic private half-day tour of Eze and Saint-Paul de Vence with Mago as our guide. Mago was incredibly engaging, bringing history to life with his great humor and extensive knowledge. He was accommodating with both pickup and drop-off, ensuring our experience was seamless from start to finish. His passion for history and art made the tour truly memorable, and his ability to tailor the experience to our interests was impressive. Despite a rainy day, Mago's energy and enthusiasm made the nearly seven hours fly by, leaving us with unforgettable memories of these stunning locations. Highly recommended!
