Menton - Menton is a city on the Côte d’Azur, founded in the 12th century and part of the Principality of Monaco for five centuries. Acquired by Charles Grimaldi in 1346, it remained under his control until 1848.

It boasts 85 protected “Historical Monument” sites, 127 religious buildings, 7 exceptional gardens, 12 fortified military works, a City of Art and History label, and a site listed on the UNESCO World Heritage list. It has approximately 30,981 residents.
As a City of Art and History, Old Menton offers a unique atmosphere with its narrow cobbled streets and baroque squares.
A variety of shops and restaurants bring life to the ochre facades of this old town with Italian influences.
Stroll along the alleys towards the Basilica of Saint-Michel Archange, one of the most impressive sacred buildings on the Côte d’Azur.
