Nice Open Top Bus Tour - Excellent way to discover the sights of Nice and Ville Franche Sur Mer. Would definitely recommend as good way of getting around and to locate where everything of interest is.

Round Trip - As we had previously seen the open top buses around Nice, we decided to go on one. We joined the tour at Quai des Etats Unis, were given headsets and took our seats on the top deck. There were several languages available on the commentary. We found that very advantageous, giving perfect views of the places described on the headsets. This is certainly the best way to see parts of Nice and the area one probably couldn't get to by oneself. The tour went round Nice and on to Villefranche-sur-mer, where there were historic sights and views down to the harbour. We then went back to Nice, round by the port and back to the starting point, lasting about one and a quarter hours. A very enjoyable tour and certainly worth doing. We didn't Hop-off Hop-on, but several people on the tour did.

Good but it could be better... - Drivers are polite and that's a positive point. As points of improvement I suggest a larger route through the city centre. Basically it is the avenue beira mar, a passage near the Orthodox church and returns to beira mar, enters narrow streets and then begins the interesting route going to the citadel. Could have more stops.

Hop On/Off during winter months - The Nice Hop on/off tour bus was an ok experience. Having used a similar service in other parts of the world we've visited, we had high expectations. The bus only ran every hour on the hour. This was mainly due to it being the winter low season and not many riders. The Tour bus route gave us a snippet of what Nice and the surrounding areas were like. Not too many unique or interesting sites to get off a each stop to see. We did get a good view off the sea as we drive up and down the coast. The driver was very professional and had great driving skills to maneuver the large bus through the narrow and slightly curving streets. I believe that one day would have been enough during the winter time, but probably two days would be better during the summer to be able to stop and walk around before hopping back on. Overall, we had a good time seeing the area on this tour ride.

Good but not great - The bus tour overall was great, however the bus drove past us twice and didn’t stop at the same place as it did earlier in the day so we had a 1/2 mile walk back

Shambles - What an absolute shambles if a service! Firstly the driver who took the payments. Moaned to everyone paying with cash and gave no change if you didn’t have the exact money! Nowhere was it advertised that it was card payment only! And who pockets the Euros that were over paid by numerous passengers?!? Because trust me this service did not deserve a sneaky tip!! So we got on at stop 9 in Villafrance after a 50 minute wait for the bus. We managed to get an upstairs seat after 2 stops and then the 3rd stop in we were all kicked off the bus to join another queue on the other side of the road!! This time we managed to squeeze a seat downstairs!!! What sense did this make!! We lost out on a seat we had queued already got to now have to queue again to get a worse seat! Staff are rude and unhelpful and the cost of the tour is overpriced for the shambles it all is!!! Avoid this company like the plague!!

Avoid this bus - Départs from a side walk, insufficient room to wait, to board, and to descend. Neighbouring buildings are hostile to the bus due to its poor location. Not recommended.

Don't be ill on Tour day!! - Unfortunately, due to not being well on the tour date, I and my wife were unable to make it on the tour. Despite communicating this to the tour company, in an attempt to re arrange for the next day on two occasions that day, no response was received. My tickets were thus voided and nobody has offered a refund. Poor service on the tour company, and Viator.
