Explore Mount Etna on tour from Catania! You will be introduced to the landscapes and geology of the Volcano from our naturalistic and passionate guide.
Following a hiking route up to 2000 meters on the Southern slope of Etna, you will have the chance to admire forests, craters, lava formations, and scenic views of the mountain.
You will visit a volcanic cave using the equipment provided from us (helmets and torches).
After the trekking, you will stop to enjoy an outdoor picnic made of typical Sicilian Street food, accompanied by water and red Etna wine. During the Winter Season, due to the low temperatures, the outdoor picnic would be substituted with lunch with pizza or typical products in a nice Chalet.
The tour is in Italian and English. Upon request also in Spanish and French.
- Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there is not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund
- English and Italian guide are always available, French and Spanish are subject to availability. Upon booking, we will confirm you if the language required is available.
- Guests need to wear trekking shoes and bring a jacket. We can provide trekking shoes and jackets for free at the moment of the booking if requested.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- May be operated by a multi-lingual guide
- Please advise any specific dietary requirements at time of booking

Great experience I truly recommend it - A very good experience, I highly recommend it. Mirko has been a great guide, very informative and very helpful. It’s always a pleasure to have such a good experience, all set, all ready and perfectly in time. The food was great, we asked for vegan options and we were extremely happy with the choices. We had jackets, shoes provided, transportation in a very comfortable mini van. We also had our 2 dogs with us and it was never a problem for Mirko! I’m really happy about this experience:-)

Unique experience - Great hike! Pick up in the center of Catania near our accommodation. Guide very prepared, Francis was really exhaustive and prepared! Wonderful landscapes among the sylvan craters and in the lava cave!

Unforgettable experience - We ventured to Mount Etna then and first in the Cassone cave on Sunday morning departing at 8:30. Our guides, with 2 VANs, recovered us in Catania near the b & b, at the base camp they provided us with boots and jackets for those without them, at the cave they gave us helmets with light and on the volcano they explained everything and more, making us take an unforgettable walk. After the trek we returned to the base camp where we had lunch with local food and wine from Etna, finally they drove us back to Catania for about 15. Unforgettable experience also thanks to our guides, Giovanni and Francesco, two lovely guys, very prepared, polite, nice and beautiful!

Satisfying above the level of Etna :) - I am absolutely satisfied from the service. Starting with the punctuality at the pick up point , next comes the professional driving and the interesting facts ,presented to us in a perfect way from Francesco. The base camp is located in a tranquil area ,it is very clean and equiped with everything needed for a safe tour regardless the season. The exploration of Etna was also very interesting and I want to express my personal gratitude to Francesco again for keeping up with my "tantrums " :) .

Unforgettable Experience! - We had an amazing time exploring Mount Etna! The tour was well-organized from start to finish. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the volcano and its history. The landscapes were breathtaking – walking on ancient lava fields and seeing active craters up close was a truly unique experience.
Transportation was comfortable, and we appreciated the stops for photos and explanations. The group size was just right, making it easy to ask questions and enjoy the moment. We also got to taste some local products, which added a nice cultural touch to the trip.
Overall, this was a highlight of my time in Sicily. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in nature, geology, or simply looking for a memorable adventure!

Value experience - Taking a tour of Mount Etna with an extraordinary and passionate guide like Angelo gives a value to the visit that otherwise would never have been perceived. An enriching and very pleasant experience, because thanks to a guide, if good as in this case, you will discover a thousand interesting topics that concern volcanology, biodiversity, history and anecdotes that can interest young and old. We were in fact with family, everyone had fun, with exceptional conclusion in place away from the crowds at the foot of Etna, eating arancino, pizzas, delicious panzerotti and natural wine (he is also a winemaker). Thanks Angelo, to be repeated also with other routes that carry out throughout Sicily

Etna Morning Experience - It was a well organised trip. Although there were 2 cars due to the number of participants, a radio was used so allow both cars to hear the guide. The guide frequently waited for the group to come together before continuing his explanations. All in all, I would strongly consider another trip from them if we are back in Sicily.

10 and praise!!! - Really great experience. Perfect organization! Our driver Ciccio, very nice, came to pick us up and drove us directly to the hotel. Iorga, our guide, very prepared, friendly and very passionate, accompanied us throughout the excursion, including the trip, providing us with information, curiosities and everything expected from a tour guide... we would have been listening to him for hours. They also provided us with vests and shoes!! Perfect also the picnic that we all had together at the end of the excursion, with street food specialties from Catania. Etna with snow was a really fascinating experience!!

- Hello.
Nice guide but you don't always hear what says
If you ever see yourself taking pictures next to lava...forget...this is our only disappointment.. you might as well go for a quad or solo gorge excursion
200th for 2 people.
Certainly magnificent craters but still disappointed
Poor quality price.
Besides, we didn't get to the top
