- Narabi Jizo - In the Kanmangafuchi area of Nikko, these stone Jizo statues are arranged in a line in front of a wall, extending about a hundred meters and overlooking the Daiyagawa River. Jizo are known as the guardians of travelers’ souls and unborn children. These statues are also called “Bake Jizo” or “Ghost Jizo” because the count of the statues seems to change each time.

- Lake Chuzenji - Found within Nikko National Park to the west of Nikko, Lake Chuzenji is Japan’s highest natural lake. It was formed around 20,000 years ago when the Daiyo River was blocked by lava from the eruption of nearby Mt. Nantai. The lake sits at an altitude of 1,269 meters.
