• Shinkyo Bridge - The Sacred Bridge (神橋, shinkyō) crossing the Daiya River is part of the Futarasan Shrine. This stunning vermilion lacquered structure is renowned as one of Japan’s three most beautiful bridges and serves as a perfect gateway to Nikko.
• Kegon Falls - The nearly 100-meter tall Kegon Waterfall (華厳の滝, Kegon no taki) is the most renowned of Nikko’s many stunning waterfalls. It is even ranked among Japan’s three most beautiful falls.
• Lake Chuzenji - Lake Chuzenji is Japan’s highest natural lake, located just west of Nikko and part of the Nikko National Park. It was formed about 20,000 years ago when the neighboring Mt. Nantai erupted, and its lava flow dammed the Daiyo River. The lake is situated at an altitude of 1,269 meters.
