Bai Dinh Pagoda - 10:30 – Arrive at the Glimmering Bai Dinh pagoda complexes, the largest pagoda in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. It is beautifully situated at the foothill of Dinh Mountain, offering breathtaking views of the exquisite river valley below and the surrounding limestone karsts.

What a fantastic tour! - What a fantastic day!!! our guide Chumy was very knowledgeable and made everything so clear and interesting. It really was a great tour. Highly recommended! we are not usually tour people, but this one exceeded all our expectations.

Nice complete trip! - Nice tour, well arranged, great driver and guide, enough time to see the most important things, and not too much. Had quite a bit of rain, and even that was fine, nice group also does something. By the way, not until sunset, also fine, because in less light down those stairs might not be a good idea.

Be Aware! - The trip itself was excellent, we really enjoyed it all and our guide Chumy was great, very engaging and knowledgeable. I've marked this down though because of the arrangements. When I booked I put in the address of our hotel for pick up. When I received the confirmation of payment e mail, it confirmed pick up at our hotel and for us to be ready 10 minutes before. At 20:00 the night before the tour, I was messaged to say that our hotel was outside of their pick up area and for us to make our way to their office to join the tour. Consequently this meant us getting a taxi there and back and therefore incurring additional costs, and hassle, we hadn't accounted for. I may be wrong, but I do feel the company weren't upfront about us being outside of the pick up area until after payment was made, knowing that at that point we weren't likely to cancel. We still would have done the trip even if we'd known beforehand that we needed to make our way to their office. Just be honest from the outset!

Good - The tour was great. Me and my girlfriend could have done the tour without seeing the temples, we would have been fine just seeing one. However, if you’re into that kind of stuff, it is a great tour for you. The boat part and hiking was great. I will say that the boats are uncomfortable seating but views are great. They told us on arrival that we would get breakfast, we did not. They also will not pick you up in Hanoi.

Disorganized and insufficient - On the tour it was stated that you were picked up at the hotel and you could also indicate which hotel you want to be picked up at. Shortly afterwards we were asked to come to the office itself. Meeting point was at 08:10, finally the tour started at 09:30. Sufficient water was provided, which was well organized. The normal itinerary was completely upended and we started at the last attraction. After a few hours it was said that we could not do the boat tour. (That was the highlight of the whole tour) Afterwards we went to lunch and had to walk the way because there was too much traffic. At the meal you ate in groups at the table and paid 150,000 dong per capita for a little bit of rice, 1-2 spring rolls and a bit of herb and fries. In a restaurant you would have received a very great menu for this price. Important to say that drinks were not included, these had to be purchased separately. Then we went to the temples, which was really nice. In the old town we had only 10 minutes stay, as it closed shortly afterwards. The planned end was 5pm, we were back at the office at 6:30pm. In summary, the tour guide was the best on the day, he apologized so many times, although he was not to blame for the bad organization. Mammoths also say that we got the money back for the fancy attraction at the office immediately. His arrow on the head was also Mega. He spoke good understandable English and was happy to help with the questions and lifted the mood with his humor.
