• Nizwa Souk - Explore the renowned Nizwa Market (Souq), where a diverse array of vendors present their goods along the souq’s streets. Here, visitors can discover vegetables, pottery, jewelry, handicrafts, Omani sweets (Halwa), dates, spices, and souvenirs, all sold in authentic old market halls that are rare to find. Particularly captivating is the Friday cattle market, where locals from nearby villages gather to sell goats, cattle, sheep, and chickens in a lively open marketplace.

• Nizwa Fort Oman - Adjacent to the Souq is Nizwa Fortress, now a museum offering breathtaking views of the ancient town and surrounding mountains. Visitors can explore this impressive fortress, visiting its numerous rooms, passages, and towers. The fort stands as an architectural testament to the economic and military prowess of the early Yaruba dynasty from the mid-17th century. It was a military stronghold designed to withstand even the strongest attacks of its time, with many traps laid along the corridors to deter intruders.
• Misfat al Abreyeen - From Nizwa, the journey continues to Misfah Al Abreyeen, a charming village situated on a steep slope at the base of Jebel Shams. It features old homes and narrow streets, along with a falaj system for numerous orchards, date palms, and vegetables. Spending time walking around the village is highly recommended. The trip then proceeds to the ancient town of Al Hamra.

From there, return to Muscat.

• Jabal Shams - The journey then heads towards Jabal Shams Mountain (Grand Canyon). This mountain road ascends to Jebel Shams at 3009 meters, offering one of the most adventurous experiences in Oman, with thrilling off-road adventures and stunning views. Upon reaching the canyon view at 2000 meters, take a moment to enjoy the scenery and capture photos.

Embark on a historical, cultural, and nature tour by spending a day exploring Nizwa. Nizwa was the capital of Oman 500 years ago and was recognized as the capital of Islamic culture in 2015. The tour includes a visit to the ancient market of Nizwa, followed by the nearby Nizwa Fort and Castle. The fort, constructed in 1649, now serves as a museum, while the castle dates back to 888.

From Nizwa, the journey continues to the 3,000-year-old village of Misfat Al Abriyeen, nestled at the base of the Al Hajar mountains. The adventure then proceeds to Jabal Shams, known as the Grand Canyon of Oman, offering an exhilarating off-road experience and breathtaking views.
