- Nizwa Fort Oman - Adjacent to the Souq is Nizwa Fortress, now a museum offering breathtaking views of the ancient town and surrounding mountains. Visitors can explore this impressive fortress, visiting its numerous rooms, passages, and towers. The fort stands as an architectural testament to the economic and military prowess of the early Yaruba dynasty from the mid-17th century. It was a military stronghold designed to withstand even the strongest attacks of its time, with many traps laid along the corridors to deter intruders.
- Misfat al Abreyeen - From Nizwa, the journey continues to Misfah Al Abreyeen, a charming village situated on a steep slope at the base of Jebel Shams. It features old homes and narrow streets, along with a falaj system for numerous orchards, date palms, and vegetables. Spending time walking around the village is highly recommended. The trip then proceeds to the ancient town of Al Hamra.
From there, return to Muscat.
- Jabal Shams - The journey then heads towards Jabal Shams Mountain (Grand Canyon).
