The tour starts at the tranquil hidden waterways of Noosa Heads, a beautiful mangrove ecosystem renowned for its calm, shallow waters and diverse wildlife. The name “Weyba” is derived from the Aboriginal word for “Stingray,” and with numerous stingrays inhabiting the creek, the reason becomes clear.

As participants paddle, they will glide through captivating mangrove tunnels. These natural corridors, formed by dense mangrove growth along the edges and over the tops of narrow creeks and lakes, offer a surreal and magical experience.

Guided by experts, participants will gain insights into the remarkable flora and fauna that thrive in this unique environment.

There is a lovely spot along the route where participants can choose to take a quick and refreshing swim. This is entirely optional!

• Where to meet? On Weyba Esplanade, close to the entry of the road, there is a large shed, near a walking bridge. Just wait there on the grassy area until the tour guide arrives.
