Steve & Kaz - Sensational tour with Chook who seemed to have a tremendous amount of knowledge and enthusiasm for the Oval and local sports. We feel lucky to have spent such a wonderful amount of time walking around an iconic landmark

Great Tour - We loved this tour. The guides were really personable and knowledgeable and the group wasn’t too big as to miss out on all the details. I am not a big footy/cricket fan (husband is and loved it) but I really liked the atmosphere and getting a look behind the scenes. Particularly the old score board and its workings.

Absolutely worth a visit - I was really excited to do this tour but became a bit apprehensive when I read a few reviews last night well I am glad to say I loved it. Visiting the Oval was a beautiful experience, walking through the stands, behind the scenes and putting all my years of cricket watching into perspective was exactly what I needed on a cold and rainy Adelaide day. I highly recommend the tour and I would definitely revisit with my family might even stay at the hotel. Big thanks to Tony our guide his real life experience and knowledge was shared with all and I hope that the next generation continue on the tradition of the beautiful Adelaide scoreboard. Really loved it!!

The best guided tour for cricket fans in Adelaide - We did this Viator guided tour of Adelaide Oval on Easter Monday 2025. It was one of the best guided tours I have done, though I may be biased with my entire review as I am a crazy cricket lover/fanatic and Adelaide Oval was one of the very special grounds I always wanted to go behind the scenes and get a glimpse of history and geography. Big shout out to Alex and Tony who were the tour guides for our tour, I was part of the group which Alex took around. Alex was just fabulous, the knowledge, the passion and the love for the Oval, the games that happened there came out every time he spoke, or I asked a question, which he welcomed with a smile! We went to the media box, then to the Lounge from where we can see NFL change rooms, then to the Victor Richardson gate dedicated to the same sportsperson (got goosebumps when Alex mentioned the versatility of the sportsperson), then the corporate lounges which has a restaurant open to general public, then went to see the old scoreboard both from the outside and inside its belly and understood the operations of the manual scoreboard, bit of history of the trees on the north Adelaide hills part of the ground which has trees but no sitting stands, then to the members area which was just a beautiful old architectural marvel, the Sheffield room with its memorabilia and finally onto the oval greens sidelines (dug out of the teams) which to me was the moment of the entire tour, to be at the same ground level on the extra-turf where the greats of cricket had fielded sealed the deal for me! Felt bloody proud of my cricketing heritage when I saw multiple centurion names of Tendulkar, Kohli, Lakshman, Sehwag and Pujara on the honour board, along with my fav Aussies boys like Ponting, Waugh, Gilly. Finally, there is a mini-museum of Sir Don Bradman inside the stadium, we did a relaxed visit of the museum and that brought back memories of my trip a couple of years back to Bowral Bradman Museum in NSW which is Sir Don’s home and initial birth of cricketing career where the whole time is like a museum. Overall, the best guided tour of my Adelaide trip and would definitely recommend any cricket lover this tour as a must do!

Adelaide Oval - A complete 360* tour of Adelaide Oval enjoying how it operates for cricket and football, as well as the history behind its beginnings. Allen answered all our questions. Loved learning how the original score board works. Even get to walk out onto the edge of the ground. A must do for sports fans!!

A very unusual meal - I attended a meeting in one of the rooms at the oval. The views were great and the staff were very efficient. The main disappointment however was that the main dish - osso buco - consisted only of gravy with no shanks!!! I couldn't believe it - so if you are going to a meeting there with a meal included, my recommendation is to eat first.
