Highly recommend this enjoyable mix of food and history - This was our second food tour, and was really enjoyable. The friendly tour guide provided a good mixture of information about the food, the places we stopped and general Harrogate history. The tour took approx 4 hours, with 5 stops for absolutely yummy food. We started with a brunch dish at the meeting place, then a stop in the centre of Harrogate to talk about the tour, the buildings around us and the city. We then had yorkshire pudding with slow-cooked pork in a blues bar, followed by a bit of a walk through Valley Gardens to see some of the springs Harrogate is famous for. (We needed the walk after the food!) On towards High Harrogate along Cold Bath Road, which is a lovely area - where we were treated to gorgeous patisserie with a hot drink, followed by a tasting session at a handmade icecream shop - where we could then choose a scoop as well! The final stop was a very historic pub in central Harrogate where we had a cheeseboard and a drink. As our tour guide left us there, she made sure we had directions to a sweet shop - though none of us had any space left!

A great taste of Harrogate - Despite the freezing temperatures, this was a fun day out. Kay was a well-informed, interesting, friendly host. My partner and I enjoyed all the food sampled on this well-organised tour and hearing the history of the town. Even my partner, who knows Harrogate well, was introduced to some new independent eateries. Food was tasty and of decent portion size. I'd definitely recommend.

Harrogate Food Tour - I’d never visited Harrogate and this was a great way to make its acquaintance. Kay was a wonderful host; guiding a gentle stroll whilst giving an informative bite size history of Harrogate along the way. When we arrived at our tastings she explained what we would be eating/drinking, the back story to the establishments and how they strive to source local ingredients and then serve in delicious imaginative ways. We enjoyed 5 different tastings and I enjoyed all of them! By the end of the tour I can honestly say I was full and I have a good appetite. I am delighted to have discovered Yorkshire Appetite Tours and would not hesitate in recommending or indeed taking one of their other tours in the future.
