It was originally a warehouse for goods being transported on the canal, hence the large cranes outside- one facing the canal, the other facing our cobbled car park, formerly stables for horses towing the craft. Somewhere near the site of the wharf, although the exact location is now lost, was Winterwell Hall, a medieval manor whose remains were lost during the building of the canal basin.

Fabulous Afternoon Tea Cruise - Absolutely fabulous afternoon tea on The Dalesman with a bottle of Prosecco 😁
The afternoon tea itself was fresh and delicious and the boat trip was a perfect couple of hours of total relaxation.
The guys working the cruise were lovely, very efficient and friendly.
Would highly recommend this trip if you’re visiting Skipton

Time Well Spent! - Afternoon tea cruise was excellent. Sailed the canal for 2 hours during which afternoon tea was served. Tea and coffee included but bar serving drinks also available to purchase from. Food was very good and views from the boat amazing.

Lovely afternoon - We had a lovely 2 hour canal boat trip with Afternoon Tea. Boat left promptly and staff were quick to bring round tea or coffee. Quickly followed by table service of drinks from the bar if wanted. Our afternoon tea was well presented and very nice. Gentle two hour round trip. Staff on board very friendly and quick to bring round drinks. Very enjoyable way to spend a sunny afternoon.

A throughly nice afternoon out - Arrived early to check in the lady was very helpful in advising where to park our car
We went on board around 1430 for an afternoon tea cruise on boarding was greeted with a good afternoon name please was then told where our seats were
We soon set of going through the countryside and immediately they came round with tea and coffee quickly followed by the afternoon tea which was served in a nice relaxed manner the crew were very efficient from the start informing us what was taken place and serving the meals
All in all it was a throughly nice pleasant afternoon can recommend it100%

Excellent trip - What a fantastic afternoon! The crew were friendly and helpful, the afternoon tea was delicious and the views were beautiful. My friend was temporarily on crutches, and the crew's help made it very easy for her to get on board. Highly recommended.

Relaxing afternoon tea on the canal - This was an excellent, relaxing way to spend a Saturday afternoon. During a two-hour trip on the Leeds to Liverpool canal we had a pleasant afternoon tea of sandwiches, scones and cake with unlimited tea and coffee. Other drinks were available from the bar at reasonable prices. One improvement suggestion for the owners would be bigger scones but that is a small point in an otherwise excellent trip

Nice quality afternoon tea served by friendly staff - We were a family party of 6 ladies celebrating an 80th birthday and this was an ideal treat. The young chaps serving us were courteous, friendly and efficient.
The afternoon tea sandwiches and cake were very fresh and high quality, with as much tea / coffee as we wanted. They made a lovely fuss of grandma, even producing a “Happy birthday” cake decoration (with no prior warning).
A few words of information about the history of the area would have been nice, to compliment the scenery, however still a most enjoyable experience..

Very pleasant afternoon - Allow plenty of time to get parked. We nearly missed the boat because of the queue at the parking meter. The food was nice and fresh but the scones were very small. The cruise was very nice, but no running commentary on history etc. because there was really nothing to comment on, just lovely views of fields and trees.

Itinerary error but still an enjoyable trip - The boat was lovely and the staff great. The trio itself was lovely, despite the best efforts of self-hire folk trying to crash into us 😂 However, there was a problem with our booking and we weren't initially included in the itinerary. This was resolved quickly enough, but we were then not served that which we'd paid for (because there hasn't been a prep for us due to us not being in the itinerary), which was a shame; I essentially paid the afternoon tea price for a 2 hour trip and a sandwich (I don't like scones etc).
A shame, because otherwise this would have been a really good experience.
