Brilliant Nottingham Walking Tour – Even Locals Learned Something - We had a brilliant time on this Nottingham walking tour this morning. Even though we’re local, we still learned loads and noticed things about the city we had never picked up on before. Sam was a fantastic guide. She spoke really well, kept everyone engaged and was incredibly knowledgeable about Nottingham and its history. We also learned that Nottingham used to be called Snottingham, which meant that between Sam, my mum and me there were three proud Snottingham people on the walk. There were loads of great stories, from medieval Nottingham and Robin Hood to the huge network of caves beneath Nottingham Castle. I also loved the story about the writer of Peter Pan and his connection to the city. It really brings Nottingham’s history to life in a way you just don’t get walking around on your own. If you’re visiting Nottingham, or even if you live here like we do, this walking tour is well worth doing. A really enjoyable morning and I would highly recommend it.

An excellent introduction to Nottingham city. - What an excellent tour of Nottingham. Our guide, Sam, was knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. We wanted to introduce a family member to the city, but as Nottingham residents, our family learned a lot too. The length of the tour is ideal and the walking required not especially demanding. I can highly recommend.

A must do walking tour of Nottingham. - Our guide, on this occasion, was exceptional. She was clear, audible, interesting and engaging. We have done many walking tours and she, as a guide, is excellent. Her knowledge and enthusiasm was infectious. As a result, we followed the tour with a visit to the National Justice Museum which was worth every penny.
