Great tour in Dordogne - Great tour, small group only 4 attendees. French guide from La Dordogne, very friendly and knowledgeable, perfect English. Small confortable Mercedes bus. Boat ride was also included and not to miss.

Beautiful! - Lena, our guide was the best, so knowledgeable, so amazing, intelligent and interesting. She made the eye-popping trip. The towns and chateaux were beautiful. We loved Domme, Beynac and Roc-Gageau. They are a must see, especially with Lena!

A tour to engage the mind and warm the heart - Our guide David was a marvel of patience, kindness, amiability and knowledge. It is gratifying to have a guide who is a good person as well as an expert in the area. It is obvious he loves the sites, and so he can share his enthusiasm with his clients. The tour itself was well planned and interesting beyond our expectations. Nothing was beyond our physical ability. Our imaginations were fully engaged, and we now have a wonderful memory to take home with us. (Julie: The miracle stories warmed my heart and strengthened my faith. I do not believe in coincidence. All is planned and purposed by a loving God, even when man tends to embellish or exaggerate.) Thank you, David!

Excellent experience - This tour exceeded my expectations. Maarten is passionate about history and provided excellent commentary throughout the afternoon. His ability to explain historic events through storytelling is unrivaled. We saw three jaw-dropping villages (the river was unnavigable due to high water). I highly recommend Maarten and this tour.

Brilliant tour of the Black Perigord. First class! - Martin is the most knowledgeable guide you could have in this region. It was captivating as he unraveled the insights and intrigues of the historically complex Black Perigord. Unsurpassed

Ophorus guide Anne was great! - Anne was a great guide - very animated, very knowledgeable, and always putting the guests’ interests first. The boat ride was nice, but the speaker on the boat trip needs to change his narrative. I listened to the French because it is impossible to listen to the English version on the headphones while he is speaking. He made a lot of jokes that even the native French speakers did not get, and a lot of them were political jokes. That is totally inappropriate for a vacation tour with tourists of several nationalities. Loved Beynac and la Roque-Gageac. Enjoyed Domme, but we did not have enough time there. All in all, the tour and our guide Anne were top notch, and I realize they have no control over the narrator on the boat, but perhaps Ophorus could make him aware of the discomfort he causes.

A very enjoyable Afternoon! - We had a great day with our guide Ann! The little villages are beautiful. Beynac is very steep to walk through the middle! Just be advised. The boat ride was very enjoyable with beautiful views. I only wish that we could have understood the French boat guide, but our English headsets were still very informative. He had the French visitors laughing! A very enjoyable day!

overpriced but nice morning - Good communication (if not overdone), prompt pick-up, comfortable coach, Benoit was lovely and gave the right amount of info/history for me, and the villages were all very cool. The boat ride was ok -- the guide spoke in French and us English speakers could wear headphones though you really couldn't hear because of the guide speaking so I zoned out on the French. This was the only excursion I could find to the villages without going with a private tour -- for me, it is overpriced. (I've done day long tours w/ food/drink and more time to explore for the same price.) In retrospect, I should've planned for taxis and walked between two of the villages so I would have time to explore, canoe with no guide, and stop in a shop or two.
