- Passo di Pordoi - The journey proceeds to the Costalunga Pass, where the historic Grand Hotel Carezza, built in 1893, is located. This first luxury hotel in the Dolomites has welcomed distinguished guests such as Empress Sissi, Winston Churchill, and Agatha Christie. From Costalunga Pass, the route leads to the Fassa Valley in Trentino, passing through Vigo di Fassa and Canazei, arriving beneath the impressive Sella Group peaks. From here, a series of 27 hairpin bends leads to the renowned Pordoi Pass, at an elevation of 2,239 meters (7,350 feet) above sea level. An hour-long journey awaits those who choose to take the cable car to Sass Pordoi (2,950 meters; the cable car operates from late May to late October and from Christmas to Easter).
