- Kala’au - One of the largest tsunami rocks in the South Pacific, offering an incredible sight to behold.
- Kolovai - The flying fox sanctuary in the village of Kolovai is home to hundreds of fruit bats. These ancient fruit bats, harmless and seemingly lifeless, hang eerily from rows of ironwood pines along the main village road. They are considered sacred and a delicacy reserved for the Royal Family, as recorded in Tongan song and legend from time immemorial.
- 3 Headed Coconut - Witness the astonishing sight of the world’s only 3 Headed Coconut.
- Mapu’a ‘a Vaea Blowholes - The majestic blowholes along the rugged coast at the village of Houma offer a continuous display of the sea’s power. Four miles of coastal blowholes where the Pacific Ocean’s force is channeled through natural rock fissures, creating towering water spouts up to 30 meters high, provide an endless spectacle of the sea’s might shooting into the air.

Make a quick pit-stop at the unique 3-headed coconut tree for a photo keepsake before we journey along Tongatapu’s southern coast to witness the awe-inspiring blowholes at Houma village and encounter flying foxes in Kolovai village – a sanctuary for hundreds of fruit bats. Though these creatures seem motionless and harmless as they dangle from the ironwood pines along the central village street, they are held in high regard and can only be consumed by the Royal Family in Tonga. An interlude at Abel Tasman Landing is part of the journey as well.
