Wonderous new experience - We booked the 1 hour tour and Brook our guide was truly excellent. Local knowledge coupled with geographical understanding made this a trip we will remember for a lifetime. The cave features are many and wonderous and the path through them allows you to be only feet and inches from them in places. This is much better than many other caves i have visited. The Glow worms are fascinating and spread throughout the cave track and are definitely worth the effort to get to the caves. Overall, highly recommended.

had a great experience - My wife and I were staying nearby in an Air BnB, and decided to try it out - we were really impressed with the set up, the guide Brook was excellent, and the 1 hour tour was very accessible, but certainly interesting enough for us to recommend to people we have met already, and we are considering bringing our grandchildren up to see it . We have been in several other caves in New Zealand and they all have their own flavour and interest - we hope this business is successful, it is good for tourists but also good for us locals.

A great way to experience something a bit magical! - This place is only a little off the main road heading north and the road in had beautiful scenery. It’s privately run and the property offers rock climbing bouldering and camping as well as walks and the main attraction, the glow worm cave tour. It’s a family run business and our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The track into the cave is stunning and an easy walk in, the cave itself had handrails and a concrete floor, not claustrophobic or uncomfortable at all. The cave is interesting with lights on where you can see all the stalactites and stalagmites, then after a while we turned our lights out and the glow worms appeared! Fantastic!

Short but nice tour - We had a wonderful experience on this tour! Our guide, Meleena, was absolutely lovely, friendly, and welcoming. She had a wealth of knowledge and shared so much interesting information with us, making the tour both enjoyable and informative. Her passion and enthusiasm really made the experience special. Thank you, Meleena, for making our experience so memorable. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area!

Not based in waitomo - Despite a google and Viator search for waitomo glow work caves, this tour option is NOT located anywhere near waitomo, it’s 4 hrs drive away north of Auckland. No response from the tour company or viator in trying to cancel it. I had to re book a waitomo caves toor as well. Not impressed and can see why others had the same issue in reviews. Tourists are not going to know that the name of the caves is no where near Waitomo. Very very poor communication and very poor marketing by viator that must represented the tour
