A fun glowworm experience! - We really enjoyed our 60 minute Milky Way Tour as a family of four (with two teenagers). The guide was super informative and we learned a ton, and the cave itself was amazing!

Fantastic - highly recommended - This tour exceeded expectations. I had originally crossed it off my list when travelling in the northern region, largely due to the basic, poor-quality website, which doesn’t work properly on a mobile phone and gave an unprofessional, disorganised impression. However, after a change of plans left us with some time to fill, I spotted a discount code in a local booklet and decided to give it a go. I was surprised to find an exceptionally smooth operation with extremely knowledgeable guides. The cave itself was fantastic. At first, it seems like there aren’t many glow worms, but the way the tour is run allows time for your eyes to adjust to the darkness. On the walk back, you can see thousands more than on the way in, which was amazing. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting on or travelling through the area. (And I suggest that the owners update their website so potential customers aren’t lost!).

Amazing! - Nina gave us a great tour yesterday, 23rd. Amazing to see the glow worms after your eyes get accustomed to the darkness, like stars in the galaxy! Well worth the tour whilst visiting from the UK.

Excellent, despite really awful weather - We couldn't do the Cathedral trip, as the weather had been so bad. Despite the awful weather, we thoroughly enjoyed the Milky Way tour. With really interesting explanations and loads of glow worms on show. We would definitely recommend this if you want an introduction to and to see the glow worms.

A lovely experience - A generally magical trip. The caves with the stalactites and stalagmites was interesting and the glo worms beautiful. A bit awkward walking in the dark but the guide was very helpful

Genuine Dissapointing - got there only to be told we could take any photographs because it was "scared" to the owners. so sacred in fact that they have hundreds of tourists going in and out out a day and had professional photographers take photos for them to be plastered all over the advertisements. when we arrived inside the caves we were hearded like sheep through a dark cake with tiny specs of light atop the cave that looked nothing like was advertised (definitely the reason no photos were alloud) overall for 3 of us it cost us 390 nzd and can only be described as a waste of money definitely do not do this there is so many beetter ways to spend your time in this beautiful place
