Great Dive Experience - My husband and I did 2 reef dives with Dive Oahu and had an excellent time. They were professional and organized . They called a few weeks ahead of our trip to check in and confirm information. I realized I still had a question after the call, and they were quick to respond to my email. The check in process was easy and we had a great morning out with Justin and Matt. They were both super friendly and helpful. We felt very comfortable with them and had a great time. We would definitely dive with them again, and would recommend them to anyone who is interested in doing a dive in Oahu.

Fun Dives with Dive Oahu - The staff at Dive Oahu were very friendly and professional. Adam, our captain, got us around efficiently and effortlessly. My dive guide Justin spotted a lizardfish hunting and eating a small tang, which is not a common thing to see anywhere. My also saw a stonefish. Thanks Justin! I've dived with Dive Oahu before, and every time the divemasters point out interesting marine life.

Great Experience - Lots of sea turtles in and amongst the reef. April was my dive master and Yoshi the boat Captain. Such a professional group to dive with. Other dive groups are not as professional. Highly recommend Waikīkī Dive Center!

Great dive while in Honolulu! - Our dive was awesome and we got to see a lot of sea life. Turtles, eels, lemon shark and an octopus just to name a few! The staff was great and very helpful with all the gear, getting on / off the boat, and instructions were easy to understand.

Horrible communication, was one of my worst dive experiences. Dangerous! - I know things don't always go smoothly. There's always something that can go wrong... currents, mix ups and stings etc. but I just wanted to express some concerns here since I wrote multiple times to the company and no one ever responded. I even wrote directly to the boss three times crickets... 1. I really liked the guy who answered the phone before we went. He was attentive when I asked about diving in the morning and whether or not there would be room the day of for the 10:30. I said I'd call back in the morning at 8 and he said no I'll call you at 7:30 to confirm and got my number. He also told me waivers were done, so we'd check in at 7:30. I never got his call. So I called around 7:45/ 7:50 and rebooked our dive. It would have been nice to get a call like he said. 2. We showed up early. I was told waivers were good to go. We got on boat around 10:40 (it was 10:30 start time but they were running a bit behind) and then they said we had to re fill out waivers. We had 50 minutes to do this (plus the night before). Not sure where it went wrong but again no biggy, just sort of not great when 2 people had said waivers good to go, then boat delayed. Yes I had filled one out with wrong birthday which further delayed us, but all could have been done with no delay if we did when we showed up. Again no biggie by itself. 3. Our dive guide was really nice and sweet. The experience was mostly good in the water for the first 2/3 of the time. The end was rough. The current brought us far out and I was really low on air. She didn't know this because she was busy doing the safety sausage annd trying to figure out where the boat was instead of looking at us. I asked here where the boat was 10 minutes prior and assumed we were looking for it because she went ahead and no longer looked back. I waited about 2 minutes while she fumbled with the safety sausage for her to look at us to signal but she did not look. Not at any of us while she was managing the safety sausage... and I have 2 11 year olds. None of us did safety stops and actually came up in a disaster. The current brought us so far we had to get brought in by a surf board. During that, one of my kids got stung by a jelly (not anyone's fault but happened) Again not a big deal alone but still... 4. No Benadryl in board. That's fine, but if someone is allergic to a sting then it would have been great to have it. 5. We were told an ambulance was coming. So we stayed even though my kid was having an allergic reaction to the sting, saying she couldn't feel her arm. Then boss arrived and said it was called off because we turned it down (we did not, we were told we could by the captain if we didn't want it when it arrived) so we started to leave. Then the ambulance was called again but our dive guide said we were good to go home if breathing ok. So we called it off. Then I got a call from boss man saying ambulance was there. I just needed to get my kid some bynadryl and just wanted to know one way or another what was happening. It just seems like NO ONE communicates well there. Which is so important for safety when you are diving. All these things are little things, added up they ended up being a pretty bad experience. Some of them could have been dangI think communication could get better. I know things happen sometimes. Just all these things added up did not make it worth the almost 800 dollars we spent. I really just wanted a response addressing my concerns, but no one cared to take the time to actually do this. I wouldn't use this company again ever. Not if you want to feel safe and cared for. After 200 plus dives around the world, this was the worst experience I've ever had with a dive company. Most other experiences have been very positive. The owner finally responded 7 days later with again, uncaring and horrible communication. Doesn’t seem like a very understanding dude whatsoever! This only furthers my worry of how they communicate. I listed so many different points and he only commented about the instructor. Of course there are two sides always, but she was only a part of what I wanted addressed. Oye!
