We take first time divers (aka Discover Suba Divers), certified divers (of all levels) and students and split up into the groups based on experience. We recommend this charter for families or couples who have experienced divers AND inexperienced/no-experience so everyone can be on the same boat together.

Great Experience! - Highly recommend Aarons dive shop and their staff. If you want a more personalized, locals vibe where you don't feel like just any customer that walked in the door, this is your shop. We started our experience with Aarons by enrolling our kids online in PADI open water certification along with a refresher for Mom and Dad. Rachel and Charlotte got us all the info we needed and helped us set all that up and then got us scheduled for pool training and dives when we arrived on Oahu. Britt was our instructor and did a great job with us and our kids (13 and 10 ) finishing up our instruction and pool time. Our kids loved her as an instructor- very patient and thorough. She helped them gain confidence through the whole process- all the way through their open water dives and completion of their certification. On the boat we had great dives with Britt, Franchesca and Paul. Captain Garret deserves a shout out as well. His assistance on the boat elevated the experience. Lots of great expertise with these guys all around. Knowledgeable, safety focused and fun. It was a great experience with a great team that was exactly what we were looking for to get our family certified/refreshed and into the water!

Great experience with Francesca - Francesca was a wonderful dive master! This was my first time since my certification diving in saltwater. Francesca helped me get my weights right and achieve neutral buoyancy. She also listened to our requests about which sea creatures we were hoping to see and ensured she pointed them out. She was very aware of the group's participants and worked to ensure everyone had an enjoyable experience. I appreciated that our group was only 5 people and that Francesca provided clear instructions on how she would communicate during the dive. They also provided snacks and ginger on the boat to help with sea sickness. I would highly recommend Francesa and Aaron's Dive Shop. If you book through TripAdvisor, be sure to contact Aaron's Dive Shop to complete the waiver prior to the dive and arrange transportation. We were unaware that they provided transportation from Waikiki to the dive site, which cost an additional 40+ USD via Uber, so be sure to be in contact beforehand.

Professional crew ! - Had a nice day of two shallow dives offshore from Manaloa Boat ramp. The divemaster Ken was professional, safe, and knowledgeable for our group. He gave us clear overview of the dive sites, and safety expectations. He also pointed out turtles and a hidden octopus. I'd recommend going with this dive shop!

10/10 would recommend - Amazing! Captain Garrett, Instructor Brian and Instructor Ken were super kind and helpful. I love that the tour cost includes full gear rental, so I didn’t need to pack any gear in my luggage for the trip. The rental gear fit and performed well. I didn’t know how many weights to use because it’s been a while since the last time I dived and I gained 20lbs since then, but I told Ken my weight and what he put in my vest was just right!

Overall, it was a great day of diving and I would 10/10 dive with Aaron’s dive shop again.

Great crew with plenty of kindness - Communication is noteworthy. I reached out to them from the mainland before I arrived in Hawaii and got prompt responses.
I couldn't ask for a more helpful team! Brian, the dive master, was so accommodating to me - an older woman who hasn't been diving in a while. Garrett, the boat captain was eager to lend a supportive hand. Both were kind, caring and pleasant. I've never been treated better on any other dive!

Best Dive Boat Expérience - Aaron’s dive shop provides local Hawaiian care and friendliness with the best dive boat crew in the industry. As a Padi Instructor and a current coast guard licensed dive boat captain, I could not have assembled a better, courteous, caring, attention to detail, fun, compétant and safety first crew.
I brought 4 First time scuba divers to try Discover Scuba on their Dive Boat. They were my Son, my Grandchildren of 10 and 12 years, and my sons friend. How well did they do?
They said it was the best part of the entire trip and all were wanting to do it again the next day.
If you didn’t have a great experience on your last dive boat, just tell them to go take a dive with Aaron’s Dive Shop to see how an exceptional dive boat experience is supposed to be like.

Another great experience with the Aaron's team - Just went out on a dive with Aaron's Dive Shop yesterday. It is the first dive of my AOW certification. Francesca led the dive. She's awesome. She was very helpful and patient with me while I went through each of the exercises. Captain Garret is awesome on the boat. He takes care of everything before, after, and between dives. The team there is just awesome. I have been out with Ken, Chandler, and Francesca. They're all awesome. It really makes a difference to be out with people who love taking other people diving. I'm sure they've all seen every turtle and blowfish and octopus in their normal dive sites. But they still get excited to show the divers.

Excellent 2 tank shallow dive! - Excellent team. Well organized! Very helpful. Highest recommendation. Completed my 11 & 12th dive with them! White tip shark, HUGE TURTLE!
