On the east side, the Amelia Earhart Marker commemorates her 1935 solo flight from Hawaii to California. Please note, this tour does not enter Diamond Head Crater!

• Waimea Bay - Waimea is renowned for its 30-foot waves in winter, making it a prime location to watch some of the world’s best and bravest surfers. In summer, the water calms significantly, making it an excellent destination for swimming, snorkeling, and diving.
• Laniakea Beach - Also known as Turtle Beach, Laniakea Beach is situated on Oahu’s North Shore and is famous for being a popular feeding and sunbathing area for Hawaiian Sea Turtles (honu).
