• 134b Hamakua Dr - Begin your adventure at the Active Oahu Tours storefront, located in the blue building adjacent to Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Head to the activity hub where a guide will assist in loading the kayak equipment onto your vehicle.
• Kailua Beach Park - After unloading your kayak gear, meet the guide in the water.
• Kailua Bay - Paddle through the pristine waters towards the flat island. You can choose to stop there or continue to the twin islands. Keep an eye out for sea turtles, flying fish, and sea birds.
• Mokulua Islands - Arrive at Mokulua Island and unwind on its warm sands. This island is a sanctuary for sea birds and other Hawaiian wildlife. You might even spot a rare Monk seal resting on the beach. Explore the island and take a swim in the Queens Bath. Feel free to extend your stay beyond 45 minutes, as you have several hours to kayak, explore, and relax.
• Kailua Bay - Paddle back across the bay to Kailua Beach, where you can once again enjoy the sight of Hawaiian sea creatures. Use any remaining time to kayak in the bay or visit Popoia Island.
• Kailua Beach Park - Conclude your kayaking adventure by landing on the beach. Take pride in your journey and use any extra time to relax on the beach. At the end of your tour, load the gear back onto your vehicle for return to the shop.
• 134b Hamakua Dr - Return to the storefront and treat yourself to authentic tacos with freshly made salsa, accompanied by water or Hawaiian Sun juice, and finish with some shave ice.

Embark on an exhilarating guided kayak tour to the Mokulua Islands, led by our experienced guides! As we paddle towards Moku Nui, a designated bird sanctuary and we will provide permits for this adventure. Be sure to reserve your spot in advance, as availability is limited. During this 5-hour journey, you’ll encounter a vibrant array of wildlife, including sea turtles, Hawaiian monk seals, tropical fish, and sea birds. If weather conditions permit, we’ll explore the island’s hidden tide pools and venture to its back side. This tour is ideal for physically active kayakers aged 13 years and older. The itinerary allows you to go at your own pace and soak up the experience exploring the bay, stopping at Popoia Island or relaxing on the beach if you so desire. End the tour with a refreshing meal and a Hawaiian sun!
