We are one of the few locally owned/operated surf schools on the North Shore of Oahu. We have been teaching surfing for over 20 years and love to pass on our knowledge of surfing to anyone willing to learn! There is no better place to learn how to surf then the birth place of surfing! We are one of the few locally owned/operated surf schools on the North Shore of Oahu. We have been teaching surfing for over 20 years and love to pass on our knowledge of surfing to anyone willing to learn! There is no better place to learn how to surf then the birth place of surfing! Lessons are for for all ages and all levels. Surfboard and rash guard will be provided for the lesson. The beach we teach at is also a very popular beach for seeing turtles, I’m sure we will see a few during our surf lesson. Learn from the best and come surf with us! We are also one of the only surf schools with fluent Japanese speaking instructors!

Our winter location we are at Puaena Point beach park and our summer location is located at Chuns Reef Beach. Both spots are with in 5-7 minute drive from each other. Located on the North Shore of Oahu

Thank you for the best experience. - This was the first challenge for the family, but Keoni's friendly personality and appropriate advice helped the whole family ride the wave. It was a wonderful experience to ride the waves in beautiful scenery. I am very happy to have had another good time with my family. Thank you, Keoni. If you are in doubt, please try it. I don't think you'll regret it! I recommend Banzai Surf School 👍

Family surfing lesson - Had a surfing lesson with wife and two kids (10 & 7). We had a perfect day, and everybody caught some nice waves. We had lessons in Australia and Indonesia, and the waves in hawaii were the best for beginners like us. Kalani & Keoni helped us all the way. Icing on the cake were the turtles we spotted in the water and on the beach

Awesome lesson - I had taken a surf lesson six years ago but with very small waves and in a group meant there was little opportunity to get really get the feel of surfing.
This was a much better experience. Kalani was a great instructor with very thoughtful and helpful feedback that resulted in me catching and riding waves much faster than I had expected.

First surf on the North Shore - Due to the typhoon, skydiving was cancelled and I quickly searched and booked the day before. We are very sorry that the arrival time was changed many times due to the rental car, but we were able to contact you immediately on LINE and were very attentive to your handling.
Unfortunately, it was a light rainy pattern, but it was a private lesson with one person participating, and even beginners could ride the wave! Finally, I had my surfboard and photo taken, and my dream of surfing on the North Shore came true.
I think Japanese people can participate with confidence because they can speak Japanese and contact us on LINE! If you ever visit Hawaii again, please look forward to it.

3 day surf lessons w Keoni - Keoni was a great instructor. I took 3 days of surf lessons with him in a row, gradually progressing my skills and moving to a shorter board and bigger waves. He was super kind and fun. Had a blast! Highly recommend.

An absolute MUST if you are visiting Oahu and want to learn to surf!!! - I'm super stoked to have had my first surfing experience on the North Shore with an incredible instructor! Kalani wasted no time getting me in the water and on the board so I could learn as much as possible during my lesson. He's extremely knowledgeable and communicates exactly what you need to know to be successful. I highly recommend booking a lesson and taking advantage of their incredible knowledge and experience. Can't wait to get back on a board!!!!

Great experience - I called Kalani one morning to ask if he had some time for me and we organised my class super efficiently. It was mind blowing, I was really lucky with the waves and the instructor. I catched a dozen waves and learned so much! I had a debrief and cheerful encouragement for each one! I can only recommend! Mahalo nui loa.

Chilled family fun on the North shore - Three of us went to North shore Banzai for a private beginners lesson. My two teenagers -13 and experienced, 16 some experience and me (old, no experience).
I received a friendly message with a dropped pin for meet location and he was there and meeting up worked seamlessly. Friendly and helpful throughout the lesson he made it fun and effort free for all of us despite our differing fitness and skill levels. Towing us out, pushing us off and with helpful feedback each time we ‘caught a wave’.
What an experience surfing together on the North shore!
