- Nu’uanu Pali Lookout - Known for its strong, howling winds, the Pali Lookout is a must-visit for its breathtaking views of Oahu’s lush Windward Coast. As you stand at the Nuʻuanu Pali Lookout, you’ll understand why it’s one of Oahu’s top scenic destinations, with the wind pressing against you and whistling through the mountains.
Situated high above Oahu, the Pali Lookout is steeped in history. “Pali” means “cliff” in Hawaiian, and this site is where the 1795 Battle of Nuuanu took place, leading to King Kamehameha I’s victory and the unification of the island. The fierce battle resulted in the loss of many lives, with numerous warriors driven over the lookout’s steep cliffs.
- Byodo-In Temple - Nestled at the base of the Ko’olau Mountains in Valley of the Temples Memorial Park, the Byodo-In Temple was established on June 7, 1968, to honor the 100th anniversary of the first Japanese immigrants to Hawaii. This temple in O’ahu is a smaller-scale replica of the over 950-year-old Byodo-in Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Uji, Japan.
- Tropical Farms Macadamia Nuts - Starting as a roadside venture in 1987, Tropical Farms Macadamia Nut outlet is a delightful shop tucked away from the main path. Visitors can enjoy free coffee and macadamia nut samples and even crack their own macadamia nut from a tree behind the shop.
- Kualoa Ranch - Explore this remarkable private nature reserve, a filming location for numerous Hollywood movies and TV shows. Kualoa is a 4,000-acre working cattle ranch and one of Oahu’s Historic Places. It is a popular outdoor playground located along the Koolau mountains, facing the stunning Kaneohe Bay.
- Kuilima Farm Stand - Known for offering the best fruits, Kahuku Fruit stands provide a variety of fresh, locally harvested fruits, already cut and bagged in Ziplock bags. The famous Banana lumpia and Coconut water are must-tries here.
- Waimea Arboretum and Botanical Garden - Waimea Valley is rich in Hawaiian history and remains a place of peace, spirituality, and living tradition. It is part of an ahupuaʻa, a traditional Hawaiian land division extending from the mountains to the ocean. This system ensured each community had access to essential resources. Waimea Valley continues to honor these traditions by preserving the land and sharing Hawaiian heritage with visitors, fostering a deeper appreciation for Hawaii’s past while helping to mālama its future.

Haleʻiwa is now the social and artistic hub of the North Shore, where surfers fuel up on shrimp or other delicacies at the town’s abundant food trucks before heading to the famous beaches of Waimea Bay.
- Dole Plantation - Founded in 1901, the historic Dole pineapple plantation opened to the public as Hawaii’s “Pineapple Experience” in 1989. Today, Dole Plantation is one of Oahu’s most popular attractions.
