Fantastic instructor - My son, daughter and myself had a two-hour private lesson with Amy. She was a fantastic instructor; knowledgeable, warm and friendly and super easygoing. She clearly communicated what she wanted us to do when we were out in the waves and gave us ongoing feedback about ways in which we could improve. At all times we felt safe and confident in her care.

More Than a Lesson: Real Surfing Mechanics and Safety - I took a 2 hr. private surfing lesson with North Shore Surf Girls in December. It was the best instructional surfing experience I’ve ever had. Carol Philips, is a master of her craft. Unlike other schools, she focuses on surfing mechanics and explains the "why" behind every action. North Shore Surf Girls Lesson Review - I can’t recommend North Shore Surf Girls enough!! Aimee is an amazing surf instructor - I’ve surfed before and am still learning and she helped perfect my form! With her instruction, I had an amazing time riding waves in the North Shore. The beach is also beautiful (saw rainbows for the entire two hours) and the vibes are great! If you’re interested in surf lessons, definitely hit up North Shore Surf Girls!

Aimee is an awesome instructor! - Aimee was a great and knowledgeable instructor - clearly she is a master of her craft. It was helpful that she gave pointers throughout the lesson! I surfed probably a dozen waves - it was a great time and would be happy to support Aimee and the NSSG again! Mahalo!

North Shore surfing - Amy was very patient an epic instructor. You must be in good condition to paddle out to the waves. Even though the instructor can tow assist. It will help if you are capable to do the leg work. Or arm work in this case.

Best Hawaiian memories - I wasn’t sure what to expect, but what we got for our private family lesson was the most remarkable, enjoyable intro to surfing for my teenage girls (one special needs), and a very unathletic- me. Aimee was patient, educational, and strong enough to guide us through the choppy waters and get us up on our boards. Everyone had so much fun , even my youngest with autism who had been in a mood right before the lesson; she had her out in the ocean and completely enthralled by the lesson. We cannot recommend their set up enough, start to finish with the amazing photos and videos that made us all look like pro’s even if I was eating it half the time — hah… wouldn’t go anywhere else — we all loved it and will be back next time.

Best Surf Instructors - We had never surfed before and all surfed on our first try! The North Shore Surf Girls instructors were so patient, knowledgeable and kind! We had the best time! If you want to learn to surf, book with the North Shore Surf Girls!!!

Highly recommended - I had such a wonderful first time surf experience with the amazing Aimee. She is positive, encouraging, and very experienced. I was able to enjoy catching several waves with her instructions. I highly recommend the experience and cannot wait to learn more from her.

Family of 5 all rode the wave! - These ladies are fun and so experienced! Our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids (13,11,8) had the best time and all were able to ride a wave within the first or second attempt. These wahine know hot read the ocean and catch the best waves. We were total beginners. Their photographer was amazing as well. Communication was on point.

North Shore Surf Girls Are Top Notch - My daughter had the best time and the private lesson was well worth it! There were other surfing groups there and none compared to the instructor from North Shore Surf School.
