Highly recommended - I had such a wonderful first time surf experience with the amazing Aimee. She is positive, encouraging, and very experienced. I was able to enjoy catching several waves with her instructions. I highly recommend the experience and cannot wait to learn more from her.

Family of 5 all rode the wave! - These ladies are fun and so experienced! Our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids (13,11,8) had the best time and all were able to ride a wave within the first or second attempt. These wahine know hot read the ocean and catch the best waves. We were total beginners. Their photographer was amazing as well. Communication was on point.

North Shore Surf Girls Are Top Notch - My daughter had the best time and the private lesson was well worth it! There were other surfing groups there and none compared to the instructor from North Shore Surf School.

Surfs up - This is my 3rd time using this place to learn to surf. The first time I went was in 2021 because it was a bucket list item. I loved it so much I wanted to do it more, but life got complicated with a new house and stuff. The second time booking surf lessons here was in December 2024, and now my 3rd time was April 2025. I highly recommend them for learning how to surf. Each time I have gone I have successfully gotten up on the board and actually surfed waves. Each time I go I also get significantly better. At home I'm land locked so I don't get to practice what I learn, but if I did I know I would be set up with a great foundation from here. I finally feel like I have muscle memory. I am lucky and get to come to Oahu on business and I'm able to get enough time off to book the 9am private surf lessons. Using their website you can book a type of lesson (private, semi-private, group, etc) and an available time slot for your lesson. I haven't had a hard time booking a couple of days out, but I wouldn't wait until the last second. I don't remember who the instructor was in 2021, but I have been with Aimee in 2024 and today in April 2025. She is an excellent instructor. She goes over how to carry a board, to safety, surfing form, paddle zones, surfing zones, etc. I learn a lot each time and my form get better. She shows you how to do everything and let's you practice in the sand before trying to balance on waves. 1 on 1 instruction works best for me and I get to catch a lot of waves. All the instructors are really fun and bring good vibes to learning to Surf. On the way out and in, there were turtles swimming around too so even though I didn't do the turtle tour I got really lucky and saw some cuties anyway. I can't wait to come back and get another lesson with Aimee, Carol, and the whole team

Great surfing lesson - Aimee is an awesome coach! Very fun very knowledgeable of the ocean and a highly skilled surfer. I learned a lot from my lesson with her.

Best Surf Lessons on North Shore! - Our instructor Amy was amazing. She was patient and helpful with my teenagers and my husband, and all three had multiple successful attempts at surfing. They are hooked and can’t wait to come back to Hawaii and do it again! The meeting point was easy to find, all gear was provided, and there was even a photographer that got amazing pictures we could purchase after. North Shore Surf Girls was amazing!

What a great experience - We had an amazing experience with The North Shore Girls! From start to finish, their professionalism and politeness stood out. We felt completely safe the entire time, which made the experience all the more enjoyable. Our instructor, Amy, was absolutely fantastic—she gave clear, helpful feedback and made sure we all felt confident in the water. We really appreciated that we were given plenty of time to catch waves, and it was such a great feeling when everyone in our group was able to stand up on the surfboard! Highly recommend this group for anyone looking to learn how to surf in a fun and supportive environment.

Fantastic family and private surf experience - We had such a great time with North Short Surf Girls. My family did a private family lesson and then I did a private lesson as well. Wonderful group of women who are very friendly, supportive, great teachers, and provide a wonderful experience for all ages.

Best memory ever! - The lesson was amazing. Lillie (sorry if the writing is not good) was very kind,funny and very educational. We all managed to get up and ride the waves. The place is beautiful and much less crowded than Waikiki I highly recommend this course. My daughters and I loved it so much If you feel a little peckish after surfing Lillie also recommanded us a very nice place to eat after the course : Surf'n'salsa. 5 minute by car a lovely place with delicious foodtrucks Thank you girls for this unforgettable memory.
