Nearby, visitors can explore Hawaii’s first church, also established in 1820, the historic Kawaiahao Church, and its graveyard, the resting place of many of Hawaii’s former Ali’i (royalty). - King Kamehameha Statue - The tour continues to the gold-adorned King Kamehameha Statue, one of only three in existence, located in front of Hawaii’s State Supreme Court building, which once served as the seat of Hawaii’s government when it was an independent nation.
- Iolani Palace - Crossing King Street, the tour enters the grounds of Iolani Palace and Royal Barracks, the only palace on American soil, built by King Kalakaua. Today, it serves as a fascinating museum. The tour glides around the Palace, admiring the magnificent banyan trees, and stops at the Queen Lili’uokalani Statue.
