Great luau! - This was such a fun experience. the performers were interactive and informative and it was so interesting to learn about the different dances, what region they were from and what they meant. The food was delicious too! We spent the morning walking the park to see the falls and finished with lunch and the luau. Definitely recommend.

Look no further…this is the best! - Best experience and delicious food!! Friends guided us to this family owned and the entire evening was incredible! The performances were excellent, the same people greeted us, served our meal, and thanked us afterward. The hands on experience and traditional food cooking demonstration were all great. Loved the audience interaction , too. We later watched a luau at another prominent location and it was far less impressive. Don’t go anywhere but Tao Luau!!

Great luau - We have been to other luaus, but this beats them all! The hosts entertained us before dinner by teaching Hawaiian crafts, dancing, cooking and more. The food and entertainment were great. We sat in the “silver” section at the back and still had a clear view of the show. No bad seat. This is a don’t miss in Oahu.

Great evening - Our family of four went and had a great time. This was my third luau and by far my favorite. Very interactive and they did a great job teaching about the culture. The food was fantastic. I would differently recommend sitting in the VIP section for the best views.

BEST Luau in Hawaii - I’ve been to 5 luaus across 3 islands including the one at Disney Aulani. Among those, Toa Luau is the best. It’s engaging, fun, and authentic. All the other luaus seem to do an overarching “story” for the night, which is a nice idea. But in reality, it’s hard to keep up and falls flat. Toa Luau is more like showcasing several Polynesian styles of dancing by an emcee. You get a little overview of the unique culture of each islands like Tonga, Tahiti, Aotearoa, and of course Hawaii. The routines are not too long yet distinct. The other luaus tend to drag with longer routines and hard-to-understand cultural points (I’m sure they are important but still). The emcee is funny and inserts appropriate crowd involvement throughout the night. The other luaus seem to go for either a historically informative or classy artist type of vibe. Maybe a personal choice, but I would rather laugh and feel like I’m a part of the show than just sit there and get educated at a luau. The food is good although it’s not a buffet style “AYCE.” But they bring the food to you, and you can get seconds anyway. The tickets come with different number of drinks depending on the level you select. I got the lowest tier (silver) and did pay for one additional drink to have two total. I don’t think getting smashed at a luau is so fun so I’m ok with the drink provision. I suggest going to the Waimea Valley water fall hike around 2-3pm on the day of the luau and go straight to the luau once it begins at 5pm. Entry to hike is included in your luau ticket. They will let you in about 15 min before and do an interactive showcasing of Polynesian activities like poi twirling, fire stick spinning, coconut peeling, etc. The whole place is small so the view is fine from everywhere. Finally, get ready to see the most amazing fire dance at the end of the night! I was impressed with the women fire dancers at the Polynesian Cultural Center before, but the Toa Luau fire dancers are just fantastic.

One of the best experiences on our trip. - Honestly, I cannot say enough great things about this Luau. The entire staff is remarkable, very helpful, accommodating, and happy to chat. At the beginning, they have interactive exhibitions sharing pieces of the Polynesian culture that are incorporated in the show, which makes it all the better. The show was engaging, funny, beautiful, and impressive. I had a chance to chat with many of the individuals throughout the show, including the host, Cousin Billy, who sat down at our table and chatted with us for a good chunk of time. He was kind enough to listen to our story and honestly listened to what we had to share about our experiences. You can really feel that everyone is happy to be there and share their culture with you. This experience truly left a lasting impression on everyone in my party.

Fun evening - The show was great, very entertaining. Plenty of time before the show to mingle with the performers and learn about their customs and cooking practices. The food was also surprisingly good, given the number of people being fed at one time.
