- Diamond Head State Monument - We will boat over towards Diamond Head and spend about 10-15 minutes there while we discuss safety for snorkeling with turtles. In this time, the customers may also take photos or request professional photos in front of the mountain.

DISCLAIMER: Participants will not be dropped directly at Turtle Canyon; they must follow our guide and swim 10-20 yards to reach the location.
PLEASE NOTE: We cannot control weather conditions, ocean tides, or currents. Tours will not proceed in unsafe or unpleasant conditions.

Head towards Hawaii Yacht Club at the end of the dock. As you are walking or driving down the dock, you will see a big ramp and sign on the right that says "Dock X", that is where we meet! Parking is $1/hr along the sidewalk.

Great snorkeling - We had an amazing snorkeling trip at Turtle Canyon! The captain and the guide, who was also our photographer, were incredibly kind, friendly, and professional. They took great care of us throughout the entire experience and made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable.
They shared lots of interesting facts about the local marine life, which made the trip even more fascinating. On the way, we were lucky enough to see dolphins, and they even stopped the boat so we could enjoy watching them up close – such a magical moment!
The whole adventure was unforgettable, and we truly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and unique experience in Hawaii. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

Dolphins bonus - Phillip and Mandy did a great job. Communication was perfect. Boat was great. The snorkeling was incredible. If your looking for more of a personal experience go with them!!!

1000% would go back - Absolutely amazing experience! The crew was so kind, very knowledgeable and taught us so much about the turtles, islands, and culture! They were very patient with our 7 and 8 year old who were pretty nervous, and I LOVED the fact that it was a much smaller tour than the other ones we saw out there. Love the pictures we got from them and would 10000% use them again for other tours!

A must book if you’re in Waikīkī! - This was literally the coolest thing I’ve ever done in my life, and the experience was so incredible thanks to Phil and Ianthe. I think I counted about 5 sharks swimming around us at one point, and we also saw sea turtles and a variety of fish. All around it was a great vibe with a knowledgable crew who were committed to our safety and enjoyment. I also appreciated that I could walk right over to the dock from the Hilton, as opposed to a lot of the shark dives on the north shore. A must book if you’re in Waikīkī!

Small Group, Big Experience - Had such a great experience with Hawaii Apex Charter! The boat was super clean and well-maintained, and the whole vibe felt relaxed and personal. The captain and dive/snorkel lead were both so friendly and welcoming. They provided everything you’d need—fins, masks, and even a vest or floating cushion if you wanted one.
What really made the experience stand out was how private it felt. They cap the tour at 6 guests, which is so much better than being packed into a big, crowded boat. It made the whole thing feel more peaceful and enjoyable. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a calm, small-group turtle boat tour in Hawaii!

Turtle filled adventure - We had a brilliant time out in the crystal clear waters, laithe was an absolute pleasure and very knowledgeable. We shared our trip with another couple and solo traveller all of whom were great fun on the short ride out to the "canyon" not an actual canyon but still plenty of wildlife to swim around. My only negative was that I didn't shave my mustache and couldn't get a seal on my mask, but that's my fault! Stunning photography that we payed a small surplus for but are certainly glad to have to look back on. One of our honeymoon highlights!

Best Snorkel Adventure! - This was the most amazing experience. Noel and Holly were the best. The boat was very clean, and Noel was very clear with the instructions on how to use the equipment to snorkel. This is perfect for swimmers of all caliber, as there are life jackets and other floating devices you can use. Holly was such a great energy to have, her excitement made us even more excited. There were plenty of turtles and beautiful fish to look at the entire time. Offering photo and video packages was a really awesome add on to our adventure.

Sick Trip! - Small crew allowed for a more personalized experience. Went over all safety protocols and made sure we were taken care of out on the water. Saw turtles, sharks and plenty of fish. Tip- Definitely don't eat before you go!

Really, really great! - This experience was fantastic. I will be in Honolulu again in March 2026 and will definitely be booking with them again. Three of us went on this excursion, although only two of us snorkeled. The two men who run this operation are genuinely nice, and also thorough--they made sure we were both comfortable and safe. The boat was shiny-clean and clearly well-maintained. The equipment for snorkeling was clean and looked new. We went to Turtle Canyon and saw loads of turtles! It was amazing! They are so graceful and fast underwater! Then we moved over a bit and saw quite a few different kinds of fish, all beautiful. The area was crowded with other boats and snorkelers (it's a popular spot) but they kept us away from the crowds. One of the men came in the water with us to guide us around the area. Because one of my arms isn't working very well, he towed me most of the time, which was really kind. He pointed out the turtles to us (usually before I spotted them) and the schools of fish. He also took photos underwater. Most of the photos were just ok, but there were a few I really liked. Not sure if the photos are worth the extra charge, but because I rarely take selfies it was worth it for me. Seeing the turtles (and getting so close to them) and the fish, and snorkeling in water that felt like silk would have been enough for me to recommend this excursion--but the two men who hosted us, along with the cleanliness and safety-consciousness, make this a "highly recommend!" and explain why I'll be going out with them again!

Incredible snorkeling experience- great value & fun! - Going on the boat and snorkeling was so much fun. The captain and snorkeling lead were so sweet and open and friendly. I was a first-time snorkeler and they made it very easy and not intimidating for me to feel comfortable jumping right in (literally!). I really appreciated that it was a small group (no more than 6) so it felt like we got such a personalized and special experience. There were people of all ages on our boat and everyone had a blast. Plus we saw a giant sea turtle!! And so many beautiful fish.
