- Puente Zimatan - The activity is carried out in the Zimatan River Canyon (about 30 minutes from Bahías de Huatulco), to participate you need a moderate physical condition, it is not recommended for overweight people, with some type of injury or medical condition that does not allow walk or swim During the tour we float downstream in the salavidas chaquelo, we slide along natural slides, we walk along the river bank and paths in the forest, we practice rappelling and jumping from stones (rappelling and jumping from stones are optional), there is also time to Rest in natural whirlpools and take photos. The equipment to be used is a life jacket and a helmet, participants must bring shoes that can get wet (not flip flops) and sunscreen; They can also wear a cap under the helmet. In the case of bringing a camera photos it must be waterproof and shockproof. In the river we are approximately two hours, after the activity we provide lunch, water and beer. Returning we make a stop at Playa La Bocana. The activity lasts a total of approximately four hours.

A fantastic journey through the national park - Cristian was great. We visited in the dry season, so there was no water in the canyons. Therefore we went snorkeling at La Entrega beach and then took a hike through the national park, which ended at Cacaluta bay. Cristian brought us lunch and beers and told us all about the area. Truly wonderful to spend a day exploring the area with Cristian.

Beautiful day, super guide. - Cristian was a wonderful guide! We went on a hike through the National Park, stopped at the lighthouse for the view and then went snorkeling. We are so glad we got outside the hotel to see several special places in the area. Definitely would book again.

Christian is an excellent... - Christian is an excellent guide; we thoroughly enjoyed the tour.. the 2km trek through the canyon river as well as the lunch that followed at the home of his friend in the small nearby Mexican community.
A Huatulco tour not to be missed; we highly recommend!

Great and Unique experience! - We had a great time on the Canyoning trip with Christian! He was a great tour guide. Very laid back and in tune with our vibe and when we might need something. He brought water in a cooler, showed us where we could safely jump off cliffs and had all of the logistics lined up perfectly! He had lots of good recommendations for our next trip too! Highly recommend!!

Good times relaxing in the canyons of mexico - Christian was excellent, pick us up at our hotel. Took us to the river, explained and discussed parts of the river and wildlife as we hiked up and then guided us through as we floated down. He was never in a rush and on some of the better sections we did it multiple runs. Finished off with a sandwich and beer then most of the car napped (exhausted from the fun) as he drove back to our hotel.
It's also worth adding that I always worry about safety on these outings but Christian has experience and skills far beyond what is needed and is always working from a safety first view.

Great family experience canyoning - The whole family really enjoyed this experience. Christian was a great guide and obviously knows the river well in this beautiful, wild part of Huatulco. Highly recommendable!

Christian was a very... - Christian was a very capable and friendly guide, and we enjoyed the tour. He worked hard to accommodate our preferences and make it a fun day. It was dry season, so there was a lot more just walking through water than the floating I expected from the tour description and photos. Maybe there should be a separate description and pictures for the experience in dry versus wet season. The unsung hero of the tour was the lunch afterward. Christian takes you to a woman’s home where she has prepared a delicious home-cooked meal (she even accommodated my vegetarian diet) and you get a little taste for what life is like in the indigenous community that hosts this river. You would never experience this without a tour guide like Christian who knows the community.

Needs more water in the stream - In the dry season the stream is not flowing normally. There are many pools of water and you can swim or wade through them. It was fun, but a little disappointing to find out on the drive there.

Would be way more fun during the rainy season 😃 - The pictures online are not accurate for the seasons that are not rainy. We just took this tour in February and their was one cliff jump spot at the beginning and the rest was walking through the dry riverbed with occasional small pools to sit in to cool off. The lunch at the end was amazing and an experience to see a small town in Mexico and how the people live in the small towns. Our guide was nice and educational but don’t expect to need to wear a life jacket or be floating down the river or repelling unless maybe during the rainy season.

Not What We Were Expecting At All - Disappointed - We were very disappointed and upset that we were not told that the river was dry and that there would be no floating down it. The photos and description were deceptive as this was NOT what was offered at all. I did contact the guide to tell him what hotel to pick us up at and he did not mention about the dry season nor the change in plans from the description. Instead, the guide merely took us to a totally different river that had a few small pools of stagnant murky water where we could jump off a rock into water. The rest of the day was just walking up the dry river bed over rocks and walking through small shallow pools of water. We stopped at a local house and had a meager lunch of rice, tortillas and chicken. The family was a lovely indigenous family. We felt angry that we were not informed about the actual trip details before we could cancel. We were caught off guard. This was our most expensive tour we were looking forward to and felt it was not worth the amount we were charged. The thirteen year old with us was so looking forward to riding down the river and experiencing the "the thrill of canyoning and... floating downstream." The guide was not apologetic when we discovered this was not the trip we expected and blamed us for not asking or knowing about the seasons. We suggested he needs to change the description based on the season. All in all, not what we paid for.
