Art, Culture and New Friends! - Juan Pablo was a fantastic guide! Knowledgeable of the local art, history and stories. This tour went beyond the art you could see into the people themselves! Would highly recommend. ☺️

Seeing Oaxaca Through an Artist’s Eyes - highly recommended - Exploring Oaxaca with Juan Pablo Barba was a compact but memorable highlight of my stay. He blended street art, everyday life and local flavour in a way I’d never have found on my own. Juan Pablo is a freelance Mexican photographer whose work has appeared in outlets like Nat Geo, Playboy, Maxim, GQ and Mexico Desconocido, and that experience really shows in how he looks at the city. He introduced me to a neighbourhood I’d never visited before, pointed me to an excellent coffee shop, taco place and restaurant, and used the murals around us to explain both the artists and the history behind their work. One of the most special moments was when we crossed paths with a local procession – in this case, a wedding – and walked alongside it for part of their journey, which gave a real sense of how art, ritual and daily life intersect in Oaxaca. It was a short experience but rich in insight and small discoveries, and it genuinely helped make my stay in Oaxaca feel more personal and memorable.

I thoroughly enjoyed... - I thoroughly enjoyed learning more about the Mexican tradition of el Dia de los Muertos. JP was an excellent guide and explained many allusive aspects related to this tradition. I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in understanding more about Mexican culture and the art in this area.

Must do experience for Oaxaca - It was amazing. The Murals were beautiful. Juan Pablo was great. What I loved the most was also the tips of times and where to go for a parade, tips for places to try the best coffee, best breakfast spots. It was a great introduction to Oaxaca. 💯 recommend.

Time of your was changed,... - Time of your was changed, meeting place was overcrowded due to a parade and we didn't hear back from the tour guide until an hour after our tour was supposed to start. Got a refund though.
