Exceptional tour guide - Tour was very well organized. Comfortable bus ride with about 30 people. Once arrive you meet the tour guide Miguel. He is such a pleasant fellow with a wealth of knowledge which he is eager to share. He was able to answer many questions from the group. He purchases the admission ticket so you don’t have to wait in line to get in. Tour arrives early so you get through the site before it gets too crowded. After the guided tour you have an hour to explore the site on your own. To return to the city the company uses smaller vans to shuttle you back to the city. You also have the option to stay longer and catch a later shuttle. I definitely recommend Lescas Tours and their guide Miguel.

Mt Alban tour - I would highly recommend this tour if you have the time. The tour guide was very experienced, spoke impecable English and was able to share so many details of archeology, history, culture as well as visual aids from archeological magazines. He was also kind enough to continue to find shade for the group during discussions since it was a hot day. Wish I remembered his name - he was incredible!

A Must Do in Oaxaca - I knew nothing about the history of the Zapotecas and the Mixtecas. So I highly recommend this tour instead of visiting Monte Albán solo. Even though the ruins are breath taking and worth visiting anyways, the historical information provided by the guide give the ruins a meaning. It's worth the money!

Miguel was a great guide.... - Miguel was a great guide. He speaks excellent English and gave us a thorough background for the people who built Monte Alban, and did so with humor and insight. Also the company was very gracious about finding us when we got lost on the way to the bus and they didn’t leave us behind. We really appreciated that! Advice is to read the instructions, don’t rely on Googlemaps to find it. Very comfortable bus.
