• Monte Albán - The journey begins with a 20-minute bike ride to exit the city, followed by a challenging 300-meter ascent on road and pavement to reach the summit of the Monte Albán ruins, taking about 40 minutes. At the top, there will be a break to enjoy a snack and explore the Monte Albán ruins (tickets not included) for 50 minutes. Here, visitors can admire the stunning landscape and the remnants of an ancient culture that remains vibrant in Oaxaca.

After exploring the ruins, the descent begins on dirt trails of medium to advanced difficulty, featuring fast sections, loose rocks, and technical areas. Riders will pass through agaves and trees, reaching a local store midway to replenish water and food supplies. This descent takes approximately 40 minutes. Upon reaching the store, there is a final 200-meter climb on the road to the Atzompa ruins. The last and longest descent follows single tracks leading directly to a lesser-known natural spring from the mountain, and then to the historic city center, passing the ancient Oaxaca train station and enjoying the cultural richness, colors, and art that fill the streets.

During the hot season (March–May), starting at cooler hours (7 am) is an option, making it ideal to arrive in time for brunch after a refreshing morning ride.
