Wonderful street food tour! - This tour was worth every penny. I am vegetarian and my husband is not. Our guide was very accommodating to my dietary restrictions. She explained a lot about the history of Oaxacan food. I thought we were going to get small samplings of food but I was wrong. We got so many different food items and got decent portions as well. I made the mistake of eating breakfast that day. I would recommend skipping a meal before you go on this tour because you will be very well fed. Exceptional guide and amazing food! I am so happy I had this experience.

For a great food tour, sign up for this one!!! - This was so much fun!! Sara is a local who knows her history of the food in the area ( and is also a vegetarian). We went to an organic market, organic restaurant and other markets. We learned about Tlayudas, loved them and ate them in other cities. We had great mole and tasted mescal. And we even tried grasshoppers and learned why they are part of the diet. This tour was educational, tasty, interesting and Sara was delightful. When we travel we always try to include a food tour and all agreed this was one of the best. Do not hesitate to sign up for this,

Fun food in Oaxaca. - This was great!!!! Sara took us all over the old center.....food markets, street tacos and ice cream!!!! What a great guide and a super fun time

Engaging and delicious! - What a fantastic way to spend half a day in Oaxaca. Would recommend taking this tour in the first couple days in the city to get a sense of the area, and feel more confident navigating its markets. We explored several markets and saw quite a bit of the city. Sara’s tour went beyond an intro to food and covered quite a bit of cultural context. Sara was also very accommodating for those who had various dietary preferences and limitations. And it goes without saying that the food was delicious!

Excellent interesting and fun tour - Very enjoyable foodtour. I tasted all kinds of food and drinks that I otherwise would not have tried if we just wandered through the markets by ourselves. We tasted so many different things without overeating. Sara is very nice and her English is excellent.

Food Lover’s Dream - Our street food tour with Sarah was a food lover’s heaven! From the moment she greeted us with warmth and enthusiasm, we knew we were in good hands. Sarah was organized, knowledgeable, and created an amazing experience. Can’t stress this enough, come hungry! We covered four markets and a wonderful variety of local fare. This is a tour not to miss! Sarah is an A plus guide.

Wonderful, knowledgeable guide - Our guide, Sarah, took us to markets explaining and showing us new to us foods. She took time to explain the meaning of the murals at the markets too. I'm a vegetarian, and she made sure that I had a good food experience and asked if I would be comfortable around the meat markets and those eating meat.

Great introduction to the local markets, and fantastic food! - Our guide Sarah was very knowledgeable about local food and culture, of which she was clearly very proud. She was attentive and accommodating to all of us, and a pleasure to share part of our day with. We went back to one of the markets the next day, much more confident in our ability to shop there. I highly recommend her tour.

Fun, delicious and educational - We had a really fun morning and afternoon! We went to three different markets and tasted lots of different ingredients and dishes. A really nice way to learn about Oaxacan cuisine. Would definitely recommend it!

Best walking tour in Oaxaca - We had an amazing tour with Sara! This walking tour was exactly what we needed for our first day in Oaxaca. We were able to see the city, learn about the culture and history, try amazing foods, and go to all the amazing markets with Sara leading us. We tried such delicious food and there was so much detail and attention to some of our friend’s dietary restrictions. We wouldn’t have had such a good idea of the foods and city without the tour.
Sara also helped recommend restaurants and places to see the Dia de los Muertos celebrations. She was also accessible before and after the tour so easily.
I really cannot recommend this tour enough. It was really the best way to see Oaxaca! Thank you Sara! ¡Muchas gracias!
