- 522 US-64 - Upon arrival at the adventure resort in Ocoee, TN, guests will be warmly welcomed by the friendly staff and introduced to their whitewater guide, marking the start of an exciting journey! The guide will assist in equipping guests with a PFD, helmet, and paddle. Following this, everyone will board a bus for a brief ride to the starting point of the Middle Section of the Ocoee River, the nation’s most popular whitewater river. After a thorough safety briefing and orientation, it’s time to embark on the water adventure. The journey covers 5.5 miles down the powerful Ocoee River within the stunning Cherokee National Forest. With a descent of over 270 feet, participants will encounter HUGE waves and sharp turns, typically met with broad smiles and hearty laughter, all while navigating Class III and IV rapids. After nearly two hours of thrilling, water-soaked excitement, the group will arrive at the take-out point for the return trip to Adventures Unlimited. Dry clothes and photos from the Ocoee whitewater adventure will be waiting.
No prior experience is required for whitewater rafting on the Ocoee River, making it ideal for groups of all sizes. However, the minimum age requirement is 12 years old.
