• 869 US-64 - Following a brief orientation, participants will board a bus for a scenic ride through the Cherokee National Forest, enjoying views of Lake Ocoee and the river en route to the Ocoee River. The Middle Ocoee adventure kicks off at the Ocoee #1 Dam, where a guide will conduct a thorough safety briefing and provide practice time before hitting the river. The Middle Ocoee River offers 5 miles of class III/IV whitewater, featuring 17 major rapids and is 90% whitewater, promising miles of thrilling waves, action, and fun. As participants navigate the river gorge, they will be surrounded by the stunning beauty of the Cherokee National Forest. Smiles and laughter will grow with each rapid as confidence increases. This trip is ideal for bonding with family, friends, and groups. No prior experience is required! At the conclusion of the river adventure, the bus will return participants to the outpost, where they can view photos from the trip and change into dry clothes. The minimum age to participate is 12 years old.

This section is perfect for both beginners and seasoned rafters, featuring over 20 consecutive class III & IV rapids. With numerous spots to surf and play, it’s clear why thousands return annually to experience this iconic 5-mile stretch. Beginning just below the Ocoee Dam No. 2, rafters will face their first major rapid, Grumpy’s, followed by Broken Nose, Roller Coaster, Table Saw, Hell’s Hole, and many more. Midway through, there’s a fantastic swimming spot where you can truly connect with the river. Our exceptional river guides ensure your adventure is unforgettable.
