Buck list item achieved ✓ - I think this tour was organised and executed as well as possible given the difficult circumstances of travel between Crete and Santorini and trying to fit the event into 1 day. I have always wanted to visit Santorini, but did not have the availability to stay on the Island itself - so when I saw there was a day tour to the island from Crete, I was so excited. The day was long, don't get me wrong. With a tour bus pick up at 6am, a 1.5 hour drive to the port at Crete, then a 2.5 hour ferry to Santorini, and another 45 minute bus ride to the first town. In saying this however, the Ferry and the Santorini bus were very comfortable, and the tour guide on the bus was knowledgeable and gave so many fun facts about the island to keep us entertained for the drives between Santorini towns. The time spent in the towns was adequate for taking pictures, shopping a little, and looking around in the streets. In Fira, the second town we visited, we had time for lunch also which was nice 😊 On the Ferry trip back the staff provided live greek music and encouraged the guests to dance around the boat which was fun. The final bus back to Chania from the port was a little rough, as it took a long time with traffic and passenger delays - and the driver did not announce which stop he was at, so I always worried I had missed mine, but other than that it was a good trip and worth the money so I could tick Santorini off my bucket list ❤️

Fantastic Day Trip to Santorini - A fantastic day trip to Santorini! Highly recommend! A lot of fun for the kids. Everything was very well organized, on time and done with perfection. From the pick up at 6am to the ferry ride and the bus transport in Santorini. We had an incredible guide who gave us a lot of historical information and made the rides to Oia and Fira a lot more interesting. Everyone from the personnel was very kind and willing to help anytime. On the way back, in the ferry, we were treated with an incredible performance by greek musicians who made everyone in board very excited! It was a long day, we came back at 9 pm filled with memories for lifetime!

Santorini Fun - Great trip. Follow instructions and you will be fine. It’s a long day so take advantage of sleeping on the bus and ferry. Take along swim attire/ towels as there’s optional tours that allow you to get in the water.

Great but long - It was great and everything was done very well for the money. However I had no clue what to expect and there is a lot. What to expect-first you get picked up at a bus stop but not the city bus service. Think of it as a bus pickup but everyone is going to the same place. You wait in line for your tickets but don’t worry everyone gets on the boat. When you get on the boat you start in the bottom standing with now windows. Don’t worry you won’t be there long. You are filtered upstairs to a beautiful seating area for an over 3.5 hour boat ride. Once you get to Santorini you will be assigned a bus number where you spend your day. The tour guide will give you history while you make your way to the first stop. You can get out for over an hour for pictures and shopping or eating. Our tour guide said don’t buy souvenirs here unless you see something same with eating. It is more expensive than the next and last stop. They then take you to the capital where you can get lunch and shop for a couple hours. This seemed more than enough time in the heat. You have a very strict schedule so the boat doesn’t leave but that was expected. At this point you do it all over to get home. Trip was great and as expected but note it is a 15 hour day.

Not really enough time on the ground to see or enjoy Santorini. - Nothing wrong with the tour operator, but 4 hours in Santorini on the ground is not enough to do much especially since you have to eat lunch there and service is not always fast.

Could be bette! - No connection with Viator whatsoever. The worst part was at the end- we did not have the number of the bus to take us back to our hotel in Chania. Other groups had numbers of the busses on cards, given by the driver in the morning. It was already dark, the busses were leaving and we were stressed running from driver to driver to find ours. I think for the money we spent we had to get better care!

Disappointing - This trip was a waste of time and very disappointing. Santorini is overrated and very very crowded. There was no time to explore anything. Most of this trip consisted of traveling in the bus and on the ferry. We spent 1.5 hours in Oia which is nowhere near enough to get the feel of it. Half an hour in Thera was laughable. We paid for the optional trip to the volcano which was short and not worth it. Visit Chania instead.

Left Behind by Fast Paced Tour Guide - We women, ages 82 and 75. We have taken excursions from cruise ships and River cruises. When one of us fell crossing the street, we were left behind! A tour guide behind us assisted and said to join them. We did! When we returned to the bus and told her the situation, she apologized. At the next stop her pace continued, leaving behind us and a couple with a stroller. We did catch up and wandered the tourist trap stores and small restaurants on our own.
