- Wild Atlantic Way - As we cycle, we follow part of the Wild Atlantic Way, a 2,600 km (1,600 mile) marked driving route along the coast of Ireland. This route has been selected to follow the best scenery and cultural and historical experiences of the area.
- Garrettstown - We’ll cycle along beside this wild beach, often enjoying seeing people swimming and doing other water sports such as surfing and kiteboarding.
- Ballinspittle - We’ll stop for a tea/coffee or soft drink in a pub in the colourful village of Ballinspittle. There’s a beer garden where we can sit out if the weather is good.
- Old Head - The remaining time will be spent cycling through the countryside.
- The Lusitania Museum & Old Head Signal Tower - We’ll finish our tour back where we started at the Old Head of Kinsale. Why not pop into the museum and visit the rooftop terrace for more amazing views of the area?

This captivating half-day guided cycling tour offers an opportunity to explore the breathtaking coastal landscapes of the Wild Atlantic Way. The journey takes participants through headlands and along untamed beaches, amidst the vibrant, green Irish countryside. Along the way, cows can be seen grazing in the fields, and crops like maize shimmer and sway in the breeze.
The adventure begins at the Lusitania Museum/Old Head Signal Tower, offering views of the Old Head Golf Links, Cork Harbour, and the picturesque West Cork region. Cyclists will traverse two beaches before pausing at a traditional Irish pub in Ballinspittle village. Here, participants can enjoy a tea, coffee, or soft drink before biking back through more stunning countryside to the starting point.
The tour includes cycling on moderately hilly terrain and is ideal for couples, groups, and families with older children. For groups, the tour route can be customized to meet specific needs. Bicycles and electric bikes are provided, along with helmets and high-visibility vests.
