Inca Trail from Km 104 - Wiñay Wayna – Sun Gate and Machu Picchu

Ollantaytambo - The day begins with a 4:00 am pickup from your hotel in Cusco, followed by a comfortable transfer to the train station in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, located in Ollantaytambo town.

Chachabamba - Board the train to Km 104, the starting point of the Inca Trail hike. This one-hour train ride offers captivating views along the sacred Vilcanota River. Upon reaching kilometer 104, disembark and cross the bridge over the Urubamba River to the control point for passport and Inca trail permit checks. Then, visit Chachabamba, a charming Inca site featuring water channels, fountains, and more. Enjoy a brief guided tour at Chachabamba.

Winay Wayna - Begin the hike, mostly uphill, for approximately 3.5 hours until reaching Wiñaywayna (forever young), an impressive Inca site that served as an agricultural center with numerous terraces, a religious sector, and an urban sector. After the guided tour, enjoy a boxed lunch.

Intipuncu - Continue hiking for an additional hour to the Sun Gate (Inti Punku), where you will have your first breathtaking view of Machu Picchu. After a short stop for photos, walk down for another 40 minutes to the mysterious Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.

Machu Picchu Cusco - Visit Machu Picchu and capture the best classic photos from the top platform (circuit 1) in the afternoon. Then, board the bus to Aguas Calientes town.

Aguas Calientes - Check into your accommodation. After check-in, enjoy leisure time to explore the quaint Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes) and dine at its restaurants.

Machu Picchu Guided Tour

Aguas Calientes - After breakfast at the hotel by 6:00 am, the tour guide will pick you up and walk you to the bus station.

Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu - Embark on a unique journey exploring one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, accompanied by a professional tour guide who will share insights into the history, traditions, and more surrounding the mysterious and enigmatic Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. After the visit, board the bus back to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included) and enjoy some extra time in town to purchase local souvenirs.

Ollantaytambo - The team will be waiting for you at the exit gate of Ollantaytambo train station to drive you back to Cusco.

Cusco - You will be dropped off at your Cusco hotel or Airbnb, arriving by 6:30 pm.
