Amazing trail with the best tour guide Bernito - Due to the bad weather, the Inca trail was closed and AB expeditions informed us promptly, giving us other possible options for tours or if we would like a refund. We decided to do the lares trek with Bernito and we were amazed by his passion and knowledge about nature and the history! He took care of us and really went the extra mile for us! We saw the beautiful landscapes of the Andes and visited a small community in the mountains! Our chef and horseman did their best to provide amazing food during the trip and take care of us. If you are looking for a great local company that takes care of their employees and offers an amazing service, this is the company you should choose for your trails!

Don’t look anywhere else! - We had an amazing time with amazing people, the views are out of this world! You could see our guide Berni had genuine passion for his work, and he encouraged asking many questions. Our cook Moises was also very good, there were new meals every day. It was also very nice to have to opportunity to see how the indigenous people live in the mountains. I would rate this company/trip 6/5 if I could!

Trek to Machu Piccu - We went on the Lares trek because the Inca trail was closed, it was a fantastic experience. Our guide, Yiyo, was very helpful and friendly, the plan for the trek was clear and Yiyo was happy to answer any questions that we had. The food was incredible, especially as it was being cooked in a mountain with minimal equipment, Mario and Nico did a great job. Machu Piccu itself was also a fantastic experience. The staff were all very friendly and good at their jobs, I couldn’t recommend it enough!

Yiyo and his team are legends - We originally booked the Inca trail due to the tourism board shutting the trail for bad weather, however AB expeditions offered the lares trek as an alternative. To say it was brilliant would be an understatement and we had the most memorable 4 days trekking through lares to Machu Picchu. I cannot stress enough how fantastic the food from the chefs were (Mario and Niko) every meal was 10/10. Also our tour guide Yiyo was positive, lovely, funny and was so impressive with his knowledge across the tour. I cannot recommend this tour enough you will make a memorable trip worth every penny.

The Inca Trail will blow your mind - Had the most amazing experience! AB Expeditions gave us incredible porters, the best guide I've had with any tour company (I've been on a few different tours around the world), his name was Tony Montaña, and were lucky enough to be put with another very adventurous and fun couple. Would 10/10 recommend, especially if you are not sure whether the 4 day hike is worth doing when you can do Machu Picchu in 1 day. Definitely do the 4 days if you are in decent enough shape to walk up a lot of stairs.

Experience the Inca trail with AB Expeditions - What a trip! We did the 5 day Inca trail with our wonderful Dave Beker, Nic, the chef, Head porter, Cirilio and his great support team and to make it even more special, it was Jez and I trekking together. Having more time to take in the wonderful views, numerous Inca sites on the way and have time to recover…it is a hard trek! And when you reach Machu Picchu well!just takes your breathe away. We spent the night at a fabulous hotel in Aguascalientes and then back to MP for our official tour. Well worth the money. They all looked after us so well. Our guide was really informative and supportive when the going got tough and we loved the food! Very comfy sleeping bags and mattresses. We had no troubling sleeping. Highly recommend AB!

Absolutely amazing! - The tour was truly amazing! We had Berni as our tour guide and he was able to answer all our questions. He is extremely knowledgeable and just great fun! The food was also amazing, and something different everyday for breakfast, lunch and dinner - thanks to the great cook William. Besides that the porters were cheering us on all along the way and wonderful at all the campsites. Highly suggest it!!
