Wendle’s walkabout a true delight - Wendle is a gift to travelers! Intelligent, educated, accomplished, and expressive in sharing his insights of sixty years re Aruba’s history, geography, politics (shudder!) and culture. An easy walk (my husband walks with a cane) of constant fascination. Thanks Wendle! Great Gouda cheese pastry melt, and we’ll forever now pronounce it correctly, GOW-duh. 😁

Walking tour of Oranjestad, Aruba - Our tour guide, Evy, was vary knowledgeable about the city and gave a very good tour of the city. We walked around the town for about 3 hours, stopping for a snack and bottle of water at a local street vender (very good and unexpected). I was on a Princess Cruise and this was one of the best excursion at a very reasonable price that I have been on recently (ship excursion prices have really gone up a lot recently). I would highly recommend, only if you can walk comfortably.

Walk away enlightened! - You will walk away (pun intended) with a greater appreciation for Aruba, its culture, and history. Aruba has had a significant influence on world history which you will learn. Wendel is a national treasure as a tour guide. He is a walking Google search of information and a gentleman scholar as a bonus!

Unmissable to know something more about Aruba - The tour with Marisa was very interesting because we toured the important places and also tasted typical Aruban dishes. In addition Marisa is very friendly and knows the city and culture very well. Importantly, the tour I took included the pick up at the hotel but not the return which allowed me to continue to tour the city after the tour and then have the experience of returning to the hotel by bus (Marisa's suggestion) which was very nice.

Highly - Our guide was knowledgeable and funny. It’s such a treat getting to know history of Aruba while walking on the street of city core. We went on the 8:45 tour and the weather was perfect before got too hot.

Informative, engaging, and entertaining - Fun tour of many of the historic and notable sights in downtown. Our guide Wendle was nothing if not kind, knowledgeable, and personable. I think he would have sat and talked with our group all day about anything we'd wanted to talk about if that had been possible. Wear good walking shoes, bring water (& snacks if you're prone to getting peckish), and settle in for facts, figures, and a healthy dose of philosophy as well. Masha danki, Wendle!

Great Historic Aruban tour - Wendle was excellent! He was very knowledgeable on the tour and did an amazing job explaining all of downtown. You really got to learn about the history of the island. They could charge more, to be honest. Excellent tour for 50 bucks. I would recommend Wendle as your guide when you book. If you are a history fanatic, you are in for a treat.
