Nice historical walking tour of downtown with a few stops for snacks - We enjoyed this historical walking tour of downtown with a few stops for snacks. Evie was very personable, sharing the history of the island and its culture and we really enjoyed our evening

Great way to sample local food! - Walking...eating...drinking...what else can one want?! This was a great walking food tour. We went to four different restaurants. At each stop, our tour guide made the connection between historical facts and stories about Aruba, and the food we were enjoying. We had 3 savory dishes, and 1 dessert; 3 alcoholic, and 1 non-alcoholic beverages were also included. There were two people on the tour who had dietary restrictions, and they were very accommodating. On our tour we went to Anker Fish, Cuba’s Cookin’, West Deck, and Ristorante Italiano. (Restaurants may change.) Local dishes are a great lens through which to understand a little bit about Aruba (beyond the beautiful beaches and warm Caribbean waters we came for!) Highly recommend-- a really pleasant way to spend an evening!

Awesome time....thank you Evy - This was so great. I didn't have high expectations but Evy, our tour guide, was so great and fun and knowledgeable. We got so much information about Aruba in the capital. We were also able to try multiple different types of cuisines and she asked for accommodations for certain situations such as non-alcoholic beverages and switching out fish for a different protein. I could not recommend this tour any higher. I'm a bit of an introvert and generally don't like to put myself out there for long periods of time but the tour went and was just like spending time with new friends. This is definitely worth the time and the money.

Started rough as we were... - Started rough as we were not picked up and had to arrange our own transpo. But Wendel made up for it by being an informative and great host.

Food and history - There was more historical information given than we were expecting so the tour took 4 hours, not the stated 2 1/2 hours. Food was very good. It would be very helpful if the restaurant knew ahead time to set up our table with water. We were very thirsty from the long walking and staff didn’t seem to want to give us water. Maybe it’s an Aruba thing?.? We enjoyed the tour and history……just shorter, though🙂

A little too much history - Had more Aruba history that expected. Food was good for the most part. Would have preferred less walking tour and more restaurant time.

Food Poisoning - This tour was too long for only 4 food stops. It's not the 2.5 hours advertised - we left after 3.5 hours and there was still one spot to go. It took over an hour to get to our first eating spot due to walking through the town and learning about history. It would've been better to sprinkle it in while doing the tastings. The first two restaurants were so rude, they put the plates infront of us without telling us what it was and never bought water. Our tour guide was dull and didn't speak up for us when the restaurants were unfriendly. We definitely felt like an inconvenience to them. At the second spot Cuba's Cookin, I got horrible food poisoning from their ceviche and had to cancel other reservations and another Viator excursion ($200 non-refundable). It ruined the rest of the trip for me and my partner.

Aruba Food Fusion Tour: World Flavors to Savor - Myself and three friends booked a food tour in Aruba. Having thoroughly enjoyed at least 10 other food tours, in other cities, our expectations were high for another positive event. Sadly, this was not the case. The tour guide did nothing to engage us or the other attendees. The pace was very slow. No explanation of the food or what we could learn about why the four restaurants were selected as being indicative of Aruban food and culture. The tour guide did not seem to be able to read the group. The tour was described as a 3 hour experience, but by the time we got to the last establishment we had invested more than four hours in the event. We were all thoroughly disappointed.
