- Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area - It’s challenging to find views as breathtaking as these. At the western edge of the Gorge, the perspective from Crown Point offers a prime view of the mighty Columbia as it unfolds and carves through the Cascade mountains. From there, numerous awe-inspiring waterfalls cascade from basalt cliffs, lining the Historic Columbia River Highway, including the renowned Multnomah, Bridal Veil, and Latourell falls. The landscape appears to expand, becoming more magnificent and vibrant as it stretches east.
- Portland Women’s Forum State Scenic Viewpoint - The view is truly stunning and is one of the best locations to enjoy a view of one of the most beautiful places on earth: the magnificent, awe-inspiring Columbia River Gorge.
- Wahkeena Falls - The 242-foot waterfall is a tiered type, named after the Yakama word for “most beautiful.” While not as tall as the nearby Multnomah, it is equally lovely. A stop here will be made as parking and timing permit.
- Vista House - Built in 1917, the Vista House is situated on one of the most beautiful scenic points along the Historic Columbia River Highway. It was designed to offer travelers a place to rest and refresh as they journeyed through the magnificent Columbia River Gorge.
- Latourell Falls - Latourell Falls is a stunning waterfall, notable for being the closest major waterfall of the Columbia River Gorge to the City of Portland. It features remarkable overhanging columnar basalt cliffs that allow Latourell Creek to make a 249-foot free-falling plunge without contacting most of the underlying cliff, making it one of the more unique waterfalls in the gorge.
- Multnomah Falls - A waterfall as magnificent and memorable as any in the country is located just a 30-minute drive from Portland. Visiting Multnomah Falls, a 611-foot-tall roaring, awe-inspiring cascade of icy water, allows you to experience the power and beauty of nature up close and with ease.
- Horsetail Falls- Columbia River Gorge - Named for its distinctive shape, Horsetail Falls plunges 176 feet within view of the Historic Columbia River Highway’s “Waterfall Corridor.”
