Begin your journey from Rome to explore Umbria, a region known for its olive groves and medieval towns. A minivan will collect you from your hotel in Rome and transport you to Assisi, the birthplace of St. Francis. Here, you will visit the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, where you can admire the Porziuncola, a revered site in Franciscanism. Accompanied by your local guide, you will also explore the Basilica of Santa Chiara, which contains the saint’s remains. Alongside your tour assistant, you will proceed to the church that holds the body of Blessed Carlo Acutis. Entry is free, but access depends on the waiting times due to visitor numbers. In the afternoon, the tour continues to Orvieto, renowned for its Gothic Duomo, which you will have the opportunity to visit.
