- Awaodori Kaikan - Experience the renowned Awa Dance year-round at this dance hall. The first floor hosts an information desk and a shop area with local products and tourist information. The second floor features an Awa Dance library and an exhibition hall, while the third floor houses a museum.
- Awa Odori - The Awa Dance Festival (Awa Odori) is Japan’s largest dance festival, celebrated as part of the Obon festival in Tokushima Prefecture. Dancers and musicians, known as ren, parade through the streets with traditional instruments, wearing obon dance costumes and chanting. “Awa” refers to the historical name of Tokushima Prefecture, and “odori” means “dance”. The dancers sing, “Odoru aho ni miru aho, onaji aho nara odoranya sonson” (A fool watches a fool dancing, if they’re both fools, let’s dance) during the festival.

Dancers and musicians, known as ren, parade through the streets with traditional instruments, dressed in obon dance attire, and chanting. “Awa” is the historical name for Tokushima Prefecture, and “odori” translates to “dance.”
“Odoru aho ni miru aho, onaji aho nara odoranya sonson” (A fool watches a fool dancing, if they’re both fools, let’s dance) is the song performed by the dancers during the festival.
