An Amazing Adventure - This was awesome!! We saw so many places in Osaka on very comfortable bikes with a great guide, Maurice. His explanations of the places we visited were very informative. We were given time to explore each place and had a delicious lunch. The directions to find our meeting point were spot on. Highly recommended.

Bike Osaka rules - Matt the man from Alaska who guided us was an absolute hoot as well as full of facts about the history of Osaka which we loved particularly during WW2. He knows his stuff studying Japanese history in depth, being married and living in Japan for many years, he is passionate about the place. We loved that. Make sure you can ride a bike and have a bit of fitness, not too much but it helps. We thoroughly enjoyed this bike ride. If its Winter dress warm people, over 6 hrs, the temp varies and you need to keep warm, and the bikes are really good quality touring bikes . Happy NY Bike Osaka.

Fun cycling tour around Osaka - I joined a cycling tour around Osaka led by Peter and it delivered exactly what I wanted. Access to backstreets most visitors miss and a mix of local snacks that added some welcome variety. The route balanced major sights with smaller historical spots, temples, shrines, and Peter’s explanations made the city’s history easy to grasp without turning the tour into a lecture. He gave me plenty of time to tour around the spots we visited. The pacing was steady and the bikes were in good condition. If you want a way to see a broad cross-section of Osaka in a single tour this tour is a solid choice.

A great way to get an overview of a city - Had a great day riding around Osaka with Takuma. Saw many different areas completing a loop of about 20km, riding at a leisurely pace. The sushi lunch that was included was delicious.

Terrific way to explore Osaka - Great day in Osaka - a day trip on bikes, visiting the major sites, pedaling through the back streets, stopping for lunch at Kura 5 with the food train. Our guide Mayco was terrific, solid knowledge of sites and kept us safe We steered clear of big crowds and areas not suited to bikes. Around 23 km all up - very safe and easy route.

Great way to see Osaka - I love doing bike tours the first day or so in a city. Its a great way to get a lay of the land for the rest of the trip and this one is no different. Our tour guide was very informative and took us to many of the key areas of the city. Would highly recommend

Fantastic Tour of Osaka - Matt was a terrific tour guide. He’s an American who has lived in Japan for at least 15 years. He’s a Historian and a theatre guy- a perfect combination for this. He was great at accommodating bikers at different skill and strength levels. Also he’s pretty funny and just a bit irreverent.

Great, entertaining and educational introduction to Osaka - Could not have been a better introduction to Osaka. Guide Matt combines long experience in Osaka with deep historical knowledge. The mechanics of the tour were flawless. Although the tour lasted about 5 hours, it was much less in actual biking, and much more in getting entertaining stories and history lessons from Matt.

Could have been better - While this tour aimed to hit highlights of the city, we made some stops that likely could have been removed to spend more time at others. The main reason Id say this tour was average was due to our guide. We biked through some congested areas, and our guide was zipping through so quickly that we often had guests fall way behind as theyd get stuck behind traffic lights. While it was interesting to hear about Japan's history, it became a bit awkward with the amount of times the guide mentioned America brainwashed the locals post WWII. Given the number of Americans in the group, it made for an uncomfortable environment when it kept coming up. Though our guide would ask if there were any questions, when questions were asked he could be a bit dismissive, which resulted in no one asking anything by the end. By the time we hit the end of the tour, I was ready to be done and out of that environment. I do a lot of bike tours when I travel, and I have to say this one was disappointing. Its likely that since our guide is only a part time employee he isnt as "aware," but overall it felt more like a chore trying to keep up with the guide than it did exploring the city.
