- Osaka Castle - The tour will proceed towards the main tower of Osaka Castle. During this journey, the guide will share insights into the history of both Osaka Castle and the city of Osaka.
Participants will enter the main tower of Osaka Castle with the guide. Inside, the guide will discuss the Sengoku period, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and the significance of Osaka Castle in Japanese history. Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy the observation deck.
Admission to the main tower of Osaka Castle is included in the tour price.
Students must present a valid ID indicating their age to qualify for the student admission rate.
- Hokoku Shrine - Hokoku Shrine (Osaka Castle)
Hokoku Shrine, situated within Osaka Castle Park, is dedicated to Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the renowned warlord who unified Japan in the late 16th century. Originally constructed in 1879, the shrine honors Hideyoshi and his devoted retainers.
Visitors can admire a magnificent bronze statue of Hideyoshi and appreciate the historical importance of the site. The shrine is a favored destination for those seeking success in business and life, as Hideyoshi represents perseverance and achievement.
- Tennoji Park - Tennoji Park is a historic public park in Osaka, located near Tennoji Station. Established in 1909, it features Tennoji Zoo, the Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts, and the picturesque Keitakuen Garden. - Tsutenkaku - Following the visit to Osaka Castle, a train ride of approximately 10 minutes will take us to the next sightseeing destination.
The group will walk from the station towards Tsutenkaku. During this walk, the guide will discuss the history of Tsutenkaku and Osaka’s culinary culture. The group will view Tsutenkaku from the outside and enjoy the surrounding Shinsekai area.
The tour does not include a visit to the observation deck of Tsutenkaku.
- Jyanjyan Yokocho (Nanyodori Shopping District) - Janjan Yokocho is a vibrant alley in the Shinsekai area of Osaka, known for its nostalgic atmosphere, delectable street food, and rich local culture. The name “Janjan” is derived from the sound of shamisen music that was once played in the area.
- Hozenji Yokocho - Stroll along the charming stone-paved alley, which has been preserved since the Edo period.
